Using the decoder socket as second VCR socket
The decoder socket can also be used as second video recor-
der socket if no decoder is connected to it. For this, change
the programming of the decoder socket as follows:
Press down the A/B button while switching the receiver on.
The display indicates "dEco" (decoder). Keep pressed the A/B
button until "Vcr" (video recorder) is indicated. The decoder
socket now is allocated to the reception unit A.
When now switching a video recorder connected to the deco-
der socket to playback, the signal will automatically be pas-
sed to the TV socket (TV set).
The special functions of the decoder socket in decoder mode
are described in the sections "dEco" and "norm" in the chapter
"Mode Functions".
Note
The receiver is already preset for all current programmes
broadcast by a number of satellites.
See enclosed pages: "Table of the Preprogrammed Satellite
Stations".
If you wish to change the order of the stations on the pro-
gramme positions, this can easily be done.
You will find the information required for this in the sections
about the Mode functions COPY and Sort.
Only the reception unit A can be programmed. The cor-
responding programme positions of reception unit B are
automatically programmed with the same settings and stored
in memory.
If necessary (for example with a very weak signal), you can
individually correct the fine tuning of the reception unit B.
Protect your environment!
Attention!
Do not throw used batteries from the remote control handset
in the household waste. Dispose of the batteries at a special
collecting point.
These operating instructions are printed on chlorine-free
paper which helps to protect the environment.
For reasons of ecology, always switch off the receiver with its
mains switch when it is not used for a longer time.
Always keep in mind: Even with the low standby power con-
sumption of 10 W, you will consume 70 kWh within one year.
