OPERATION ________________________________
Preparation
Setting up your coffee maker
1 Remove all packaging material and stickers.
Dispose of them according to the applicable
statutory regulations.
2 Before using the appliance for the first time,
carefully clean all parts that come into contact
with water. (See the “Cleaning and care” section.)
3 Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, even,
stable, dry, non-slip surface.
Setting the clock
1 When you have just plugged in the coffee maker
you can immediately set the clock as shown in
step 2 below. If you want to change the time at
a later date, make sure is not displayed
on the LCD screen. If it does appear, press auto
to cancel it.
2 Press the h- and min- buttons on the setting panel

to set the time. Press and hold the button to
scroll quickly through the numbers.
Notes
The appliance beeps whenever you press a button.
If you do not press any of the buttons within
1 minute, the appliance goes into standby mode and
the LCD screen turns off. Press any button to turn the
LCD screen on.
“12:00” flashes on the LCD screen when you have
to set the clock.
Flushing the appliance
Before you use the coffee maker for the first time, you
need to flush it through with water.
1 Open the water tank cover

and fill it with cold
fresh water up to the 10-cup mark.
2 Close the water tank cover

3 Insert the plug

into an earthed wall socket.
4 Put the thermal jug

on the thermal jug stand

Caution
Do not put coffee beans or ground coffee in the
appliance.
Make sure the thermal jug lid is firmly fixed in place
and that the arrow on the lid points to the “lock”
symbol. Also, make sure the thermal jug is correctly
positioned on the thermal jug stand.
5 Turn the grinder off by pressing the button until
displays.
6 Press the button to start the brewing process.
The coffee maker will beep 3 times when it has
finished the brewing process.
7 Empty the thermal jug

and let the appliance
cool down. Repeat the flushing process at least
3 times.
Operation
Making coffee (thermal jug)
1 Open the water tank cover

and pour water into
the water tank

. Fill it anywhere between the
2-cup level and the MAX mark. Only use clean,
cold and fresh drinking water.
CAUTION: Do not fill the water reservoir beyond
the 10-cup level, otherwise water will spill out from
the Water Tank Overflow Hole

2 Close the water tank cover

3 Insert the plug

into an earthed wall socket.
4 Remove the coffee bean container lid
A
and pour
in the coffee beans. Make sure you pour in enough
coffee beans for the amount of coffee you want to
make. Replace the lid making sure it is firmly fixed
in place.
Notes
Always make sure the coffee bean container is at
least half-full.
Do not exceed the maximum capacity of the coffee
bean container (240g).
Caution
Do not put espresso, unroasted or caramelised
beans in the grinder, as they will cause it to jam.
Only use regular beans.
Always keep the water tank cover closed when
filling the appliance with coffee beans. If a bean falls
into the water tank, it will block the water inlet.
