There are certain foods that you
can cook slowly with the prod-
uct. For examples of these and
their cooking times consult the
table “Slow cooking”. The cook-
ing times given here are merely
guidelines. Times can vary de-
pending on taste and quality of
the food.
1. To light the fuel see the head-
ing “Use”, section “Lighting the
fuel”.
2. Open the air intake (2c) fully
and leave the lid of the base
unit (2) open for about 10
minutes. At the same time the
smoke vent (2b) should be
opened just a little.
3. Heat up the fuel and set the
grill grate (3) in place.
4. As soon as the desired temper-
ature has been reached, close
the air intake completely.
Note: Read the inside tempera-
ture with the thermometer (2a).
5. Put the food for grilling on the
grill grate (3) and begin cook-
ing.

Improper handling of the product
can lead to personal injuries.
Injury may occur because of
a flash flame. Do not open the
lid of the base unit too quickly.
At first raise the lid only about
25mm and wait a few seconds
before you open it fully.
The product gets very hot.
During operation never touch
it with your bare hands. Use
suitable grilling gloves.
For smoking you will need smok-
ing chips (not included in deliv-
ery). Moisten these with fresh wa-
ter for about 15 minutes before
using. For examples and cooking
times consult the table “Smoking”.
