6. Mounting
Remove the grill and all accessories from the packaging and check that the package contents are complete.
Remove any protective films. Keep the packaging material away from children and dispose of
appropriately.
The following tools are required to assemble the grill:
Phillips screwdriver
7 mm open-ended spanner or combination pliers
Assembling the grill involves just 4 steps. There are illustrations on pages 2 and 3.
6.1 Assembly step 1: Mounting the wind guard (3)
You will need 3 short screws (7) and 3 nuts (9).
As shown in the diagram, insert the 2 parts of the wind guard (3) from above into the pre-punched slots
on the edge of the charcoal tray (4). Push the parts of the wind guard (3) together slightly in order to
introduce the catches into the slots. After you insert them, they sit firmly in the slots with a little tension.
Now connect the 2 parts of the wind guard (3) using 3 short screws (7) and 3 nuts (9).
Screw up the nuts (9) tightly.
6.2 Assembly step 2: Mounting the feet (5)
You will need 6 short screws (7), 6 nuts (9) and 3 plastic feet (10).
Screw the 3 feet (5) to the underside of the charcoal tray (4) by inserting 2 short screws (7) down
through the holes provided in the charcoal tray (4) into each of the feet (5) and then securing them
from underneath with a nut (9).
Screw up the nuts (9) tightly.
Place the plastic feet (10) onto the bottom ends of the stands (5).
6.3 Assembly step 3: Mounting the strut (6)
You will need 3 long screws (8) and 3 nuts (9).
Now mount the strut (6) between the feet (5) by guiding it between the feet (5) and securing it to the
holes in each of the feet (5) using a screw and a nut. In each case, guide a long screw (8) through the
hole in the foot (5) and then through the hole in the strut (6). Secure the connections with a nut (9) on
the inside.
Screw up the nuts (9) tightly.
6.4 Assembly step 4: Putting the grill tray (1) in place/Using the handle (2)
The grill tray (1) can be adjusted to 4 different heights.
To select a level, use the slots on the connection between the two parts of the wind guard (3). There are
also 4 open slots on the outer ends of the wind guard (3) that the grill tray (1) can be slotted into. When
choosing a height, make sure that all 3 supports are resting at the same height.
The handle (2) protects you from getting burned on the hot grill tray (1).
So it is vitally important that this handle (2) is not removed from the grill tray (1) once the grill
tray (1) has been placed on the hot charcoal in the charcoal tray (4). Otherwise it would get
very hot. Risk of getting burnt!
