Always use the barbecue in accordance with applicable local, state and federal/national re codes.
Make sure the barbecue is assembled correctly in the included base. Before
each use, check that all nuts, screws and bolts are tight and secure.
Never use the barbecue for anything other than its intended
use. This barbecue is NOT for commercial use.
Accessories not included with the product are NOT recommended and may result in injury.
The use of alcohol or medication may aect the user’s ability to assemble or use the barbecue safely.
Always keep a re extinguisher nearby when using the barbecue.
If cooking with oil or grease, keep a serviceable BC or ABC type re extinguisher handy.
In the case of a re involving oil or grease, do not attempt to extinguish with water. Call the re
department immediately. In most cases, a BC or ABC type re extinguisher can put out the re.
Use the barbecue on a at, non-combustible, stable surface such as concrete, brick, or a
sturdy reproof table. An asphalt (blacktop) surface is not recommended for this purpose.
Never use glass, plastic or ceramic cookware for the barbecue. Never
place empty cookware on the barbecue during use.
Never store the barbecue with hot ash or charcoal in it. Store only when
the re is fully extinguished and all surfaces are cold.
Never use the barbecue as a heater. CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD.
The barbecue gets HOT during use and remains HOT for a period of time during the cooling
process. Allow the barbecue to cool completely (colder than 45 °C) before moving or storing it.
When cooking above 350°F (175°C), carefully open the grill (or burp the grill) each time you lift the grill
dome to prevent ashback – a surge of white-hot heat caused by a rush of oxygen. Partially opening
the lid 2-3 inches (5-8cm) and allowing heat to escape for about 5 seconds should prevent this.
Air dampers are HOT while the grill is in use and during cooling. Wear protective gloves when adjusting.
Grill has an open ame. Keep hands, hair and face away from ame. Do NOT
lean over grill when lighting. Loose hair and clothing may catch re.
DO NOT obstruct ow of combustion and ventilation.
Do not cover cooking racks with metal foil. This will trap heat and may cause damage to the grill.
Never leave HOT coals or ashes unattended.
Fuel should be kept red hot for at least 30 minutes prior to use.
Do not cook before the fuel has a coating of ash.
Do not remove ash drawer while ashes and charcoal are HOT.
Use protective gloves when handling this grill or working with re. Use
protective gloves or long, sturdy tools when adding wood or charcoal.
Never use charcoal lighting uid, gasoline, alcohol or other highly volatile uids
to ignite charcoal. These uids can explode and cause injury or death.
