Conexión para detectar un cortocircuito a la puesta a tierra
1) Girar el cortacircuitos abierto hasta la posición OFF [Apagado]. (¡En caso de un
tablero de fusibles, remover el fusible quemado pero no reemplazarlo!)
2) Desconectar el cable energizado que está en cortocircuito de la fuente de energía
(el panel de fusibles, panel de cortacircuitos, interruptor de seguridad, tablero
eléctrico, conmutador, etc.)
3) Usando un probador de continuidad o medidor múltiple aprobados, revisar el
alambre afectado para asegurarse que existe un cortacircuito a tierra.
4) Usando el enchufe adaptador del transmisor, conectar una presilla de mordaza
al cable en cortocircuito en su punto de conexión en el panel.
Confirmar que la energía eléctrica del circuito esté
cortada antes de conectarse o desconectarse al
mismo. Alertar a cualquier persona con la que esté
trabajando. ¡Sólo usted puede volver a conectar la
energía!
El no cortar la energía puede resultar en
electrocución o muerte.
Se debe usar un probador de voltaje apropiado, tal como el Greenlee
6706, 6708 ó 6709, para verificar la ausencia de voltaje.
