It is easier to cut cheese, sausage and meat if they have been cooled (not
frozen!).
Allow freshly baked bread to cool off completely before cutting it.
Before slicing
1. Always place the device on a dry, at, rm and clean surface.
2. Unwind the cord from the cord holders (9).
3. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
4. Fold out the platform (6).
5. Mounting the slicing carriage (7) on the platform: Insert
the hook on the bottom of the slicing carriage into the two
recesses on the outer guide track (indicated by the ar-
rows on the photo). You can now move the slicing carriage
along the guide tracks.
Removing the slicing carriage: Push the slicing carriage
up to the stop point towards the cutting blade and remove
it from above.
6. Place the nger guard (8) on the slicing carriage. The high
side must be pointing towards the guide wall (10).
7. Use the rotary knob (1) to set the desired cutting width
(from 0 to 15 mm possible). It is displayed at the top on
the device (11) .
Slicing
8. Place the food you intend to slice between the nger guard
and guide wall (10).
9. Push the safety switch (3) and On/Off switch (2) at the
same time to activate the device. The cutting blade will
stop when you release the On/Off switch.
10. Push the food you intend to slice gently against the guide
wall and use the slicing carriage to slowly push it against
the rotating cutting blade.
11. To cut more slices, pull the slicing carriage back and cut the next slice.
After slicing / storage
12. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
13. Set the cutting width to 0.
14. Push the slicing carriage up to the stop point towards the cutting blade.
15. If there is leftover food on the cutting blade, especially when cutting fatty foods (e.g.
sausage, cheese), clean the cutting blade and device (see chapter “Cleaning”).
