Basic Use of the Device
PLEASE NOTE!
CAUTION – Danger of burns! All inserts will become extremely hot in the device. It
is essential to use oven gloves to remove them. Use the removal tool for the rotating
basket, rotating spit and the rack for skewers.
Do not place food that is still packed in plastic wrap or plastic bags in the device.
Only ever place down the hot accessories on a heat-resistant surface.
Make sure that the food that you would like to prepare does not come into contact
with the heating element of the device.
The door (15) of the device must be closed for settings to be made and buttons
to be pressed.
The device has overheating protection. It switches off if it is overloaded. In this
case, pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and allow the device to cool down
completely.
1. Place the main unit (1) on the kitchen unit or another dry, clean, at and non-heated
work surface. Ensure that there is suf cient clear space at all sides, especially at the
air outlet openings.
2. Completely unwind the mains cable and plug the mains plug into a plug socket.
3. Open the door (15). If the fat collecting tray (8) is not to be used as a baking tray, slide
it into the bottom of the cooking space (16).
4. Select a suitable accessory for the food that is to be prepared (see the “Accessories”
chapter).
5. Process the food and place it on / in the accessory. Attach this accessory in the de-
vice (see the “Accessories” chapter).
6. Close the door.
7. Press the On / Off switch (10). The displays on the control panel (19) switch on.
8. Use the
button (27) to select the temperature unit °C or °F. To do this, hold down
the
button until the unit you want is shown on the display.
9. Either set the temperature and cooking time manually or select one of the 8 pro-
grammes.
Manual setting:
Touch the
button brie y and then use the control dial to set the temperature.
Touch the
button (28) brie y and use the control dial to choose the cooking time.
