BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE
FOR THE FIRST TIME
Take the appliance from its packaging and clean it
with a damp cloth.
Before using the appliance for the first time, we
recommend running it at the highest browning
level without any bread slices in it, in an
adequately ventilated room. Repeat the process
three times. Each time, wait for the appliance to
switch off and cool down somewhat. This will
remove any dust from the heaters and prevent any
unpleasant odours during use of the appliance.
USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Place the appliance on a level and stable
surface, away from curtains and other
flammable objects or substances. Insert the
plug into an electrical outlet.
2. Before each use, unwind the power cord
completely.
Toasting bread
Never leave the appliance to operate unattended.
1. Insert one or two slices of bread into the slots.
2. Start the toasting process by pushing the
toasting lever downwards.
The lever will only stay in a lowered position if
the appliance is connected to power mains.
All control lights will light up for a brief
moment; then, only the control light on
browning level 3 will be lit.
