3 BAND EQUALIZER: The 3BAND EQUALIZERadjusts thetone of each CHAN-
NELby giving you achoice 3frequencies (BANDS) toadjust ,from LOW,
MIDRANGE (MID) and HIGH’s ,you canuse theadjustment knobs to higheror
lower the 3 seprate frequencies tillthe soundof the music program isapprop-
priate for your listeningenviroment.
CHANNELVOLUME FADER: Afteryouhave chosen which inputyou will use with
the INPUTSELECTORthe corresponding CHANNEL FADER will allow you to ad-
just thevolume for thatparticular CHANNEL.
CHANNELCUE SELECTOR:The CHANNELCUESELECTOR allows you tochoose
which channel you wish tomonitor inyour headphones, tothe leftis CHANNEL
(1) tothe rightis CHANNEL(2).
CUEVOLUME ROTARYKNOB: The CUE VOLUME ROTARY KNOBadjusts your
HEADPHONEMONITOR OUTPUT’Svolume.
MICROPHONEVOLUMEROTARYKNOB: Allows you toadjust the
volume of the microphone signal.
MASTEROUTPUT ROTARY KNOB:The MASTEROUTPUTrotary knobadjust
the volume of the MAIN MASTERoutput.
VUMETER: The CDM-3600 has a stereo VUMETERthatallows you tomonitor
the deciblelevels of the LEFT and RIGHT MASTERoutput.
FADER START BUTTON: TheFader Start function allows you tostart CD play-
back simply by moving the CROSSFADER from side to side.
A. Cueup theCD playeryou wish to startusing the Fader Start function
B. Move the CROSSFADER allthe way tothe oppositeside of theCD
youhave justCued.
C. Pressthe FADERSTART SELECTOR buttonso thatthe button
becomes illuminated.
D. Atthe pointwhich you wishto start the audio from theCued CD,
simply move the CROSSFADER in the direction of the CuedCD player,
and playback will begin.
E. Whenthe CROSSFADER is moved all the way to the opposite side of
the currentlyplaying disc, the unitwill stopplaying that disc andreturn to
the beginningof the track orthe set cue point.
CROSS FADER: TheCROSSFADER allows you to mix evenly from one sourceto
another. The CROSSFADERon theCDM-3600 is also removable andif the need
arises canbe replaced.TheRG-45(RAILGLIDE
) DUAL-RAILCROSSFADER,
which hasinternal dualstainless steel rails thatallow the slider toride smoothly
and accurately from end to end can be purchased from your localGEMINI
dealer.
NOTE:WHENUSING THECROSSFADERLIGHTLYGLIDETHE FADER BACKAND
FORTH.PRESSINGDOWN ONTHECONTROLS CANBENDCONTACTSANDCAUSE A
LOSSOFSOUND.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
- If a discwillnot play, check to seeif the discwas loadedcorrectly
(labelsideup). Also check the disc for excessive dirt, scratches,etc.
- If the disc turns but there isno sound, check the cable connections,
if they are ok,check youramplifier orreciever.
-If the CDskips, check the CDfor dirt or scratches.Do notassume that
the CDplayer isdefective.Many cd’sare recordedoutof spec and
will skip onmostor all CD players.Before sendingthe unit for repair,
try playing aCD that you are sure plays properly.

1. UNSCREW THE FADER (B) SCREWS. DO NOT TOUCH INSIDE SCREWS (C) CAREFULLY
REMOVE OLD CROSS FADER AND UNPLUG CABLE (D)
2. PLUG IN THE NEW CROSSFADER INTO CABLE
(D) AND PLACE BACK INTO MIXER.
3. SCREW THE CROSS FADER TO MIXER WITH THE
FADERPLATE SCREWS (B)
4. REPLACETHE FACE OF THE MIXER AND SCREW
THE FOUR SCREWS BACKIN AND REPLACE THE
FADERKNOBS.
