JOG WHEEL:In SEARCHMODEthe JOGWHEEL can be used to
search forward or bacwards in the music track, as well as for fine
adjustments to a CUEpoint in PAUSEmode. In PITCHBENDmodethe
JOGWHEELwillfunction the same as the PITCHBENDallowing you
to speed up (FORWARD) or slow down (REWIND) the music clock-
wise bieng (FORWARD) and counter clockwise being (REWIND).
JOGMODEBUTTON: When the JOGMODEBUTTONis illuminated
it indicates the the JOGWHEELis in SEARCH MODE, and when not
illuminated it indicates that the JOGWHEELis in PITCHBEND
MODE.
DISPLAY: The DISPLAY shows the track number, pitch value, pitch
bend, single, continue (for continuous play), play/pause modes, fast
forward/reverse modes, loop mode, reloop mode, PGM, repeat
modes, the playback display bar, and three diffirent time displays.
These times displays are TIMEELAPSED on the track, TIMEREMAIN-
ING on the disc and and TIMEREMAINING on the track. Time is
measured in minutes, seconds andframes.
PGM: Allows you to create a set playlist. To program a set list into
the CDM-3600 memory, begin by stopping the unit from play and
pressing PGM to begin the set list. Select a track by using the track
selection button to scan to the first track to be placed in the set list.
When you have selected the proper track press PGM and the
CDM-3600 will be ready to set your next selection. Repeat the pre-
vious steps until you have completed your playlist, then press play to
begin the set list.
REPEAT: Press the repeat button once to engage ( 1)or repeatthe
selected track. Press REPEAT again to engage ALLsetting wich will
repeat all the tracks on the CD. Press REPEAT again to disengage
the repeat function.
SINGLE: Pressing the SINGLEbutton engages SINGLEmode, in this
mode the CDM-3600 will play one song and then stop. Pressing the
SINGLE button again will thenactivateCONTINUOUSmodecausing
the unit to play continuously (after the last track, the unit will return
to the first track of the disc andcontinue to play).
TIME: The TIMEBUTTON switches the time display between three
available sources, these three are TIMEELAPSED on the track, TIME
REMAINING on the disc and and TIMEREMAINING on the track.
TIMEELAPSEDindicates how much time has currently gone by since
the play button was pressed, TIME REMAING ONDISCwillcount
down the time remaining on the entire disc and TIMEREMAINING
ON TRACK counts down the time that is left before the end of the
track.
PITCH:Pushing the PITCH button (the button will light up blue) acti-
vates the PITCHCONTROLSLIDE. Thepitch or speed of the CDwill
change plus or minus 12% depending on the position of the PITCH
CONTROLSLIDER. Push the PITCHbutton again to deactivate this
mode.
PITCHCONTROL SLIDE: Movingthe PITCHCONTROL SLIDE
up ordown will lower or raise thepitch percentage+or - 12%.
PITCHBEND:Pushing thePITCHBENDBUTTONS will automatically
raise thepitch up to +16% or lower thepitch down to -16%from the
existing pitch setting.Releasing thebuttons will return the pitch
to theoriginal pitch setting. You can use thisfunction tomatch the
beat when mixing from onesongto another.

LOOPSECTION: ALOOP repeatsthesection between the entry point
(IN) and the exitpoint(OUT). To set aloop while the unit isplaying,
start by pressing the INBUTTON(it will light up)and when you reach
the desiredend loop point press the OUTBUTTON(it willalsolight
up). The loop will continue playing until you pressthe OUTBUTTON
again allowingthe musicto continue from that point on, to re-engage
the loop you must pressthe RELOOPBUTTON. Whenyou have re-
leasedyour loop theOUTBUTTON willturn OFFand the INBUT-
TONwill remainlit toindicate that your loopis stored inthe
CDM-3600 memory. Pressingthe INBUTTONagain while the unit is
playingwill erasethe previously saved loopwhile saving your new
loop entry point.PressOUTto exitthe loop and save a new complete
loop.
PressRELOOP toreturn tothe beginning of the previously saved loop
from normalplay. Press RELOOPrepeatedly tocausethe loop to
stutter.
NOTE:THEFIRSTLOOP WILLHAVEAPAUSEAT THEEXITPOINT,
WHILEALL OTHERSWILLBESEAMLESS.
PLAY/PAUSE: Each pressof the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON
causesthe operation to changefrom PLAYto PAUSEor from PAUSE
back to PLAY. ThePLAY/PAUSEBUTTONremains litwhenin PLAY
mode, while it blinks inPAUSEmode.
CUE: While the unit isplayingand after the cuepointhas been
programmed,pressing CUEwillcausethe CD player to enter the
PAUSEmode(PLAY/PAUSEBUTTONblinks) atthe programmed cue
point(the CUELEDislit).Holding down the CUE button
changes the function to preview , and allows you to stutter start or
play fromthe programmedCUEPOINT Releasing the CUE button
will return theCDtothe presetCUE point.
STOPBUTTON: When pressedthe STOPBUTTONstops the play-
back of the CDplayer.
TRACK SELECTION: TheTRACKSELECTION buttons let you select the
track toplay. +10allowsyou to scan through the track selection inin-
crements of 10.TRACKSKIPallows you to scan through each track
one atatime.
NOTE:ONCEYOUHAVESKIPPEDTOANOTHERTRACK,YOU MAYNOTGOBACK
TOYOURPROGRAMMEDCUEPOINT. YOUMUSTBEGIN YOURCUESELECTION
OVERAGAIN,THECUEWILL BEPRESETTOTHEBEGINNINGOFTHENEWLEYSE-
LECTEDTRACK.
DIRECTACCESSBUTTONS:The direct access buttonsallow you to
inputatrack numberdirectly instead of having toskipthroughthe
tracks individualy. Just press thenumber or combination of numbers
up to99 and theplayer will jump to that track instantly.

CHANNELINPUT SELECTOR: TheCHANNEL INPUT SELECTOR switches
allowyou to choose which inputwill becontrolled by thatchannels correspon-
ding volume FADER. For example CHANNEL(1) INPUTSELECTORallows
youto choose between line(1) (Thatsides internal CDplayer), line(2) which
is lineinput RCA (1) andor PHONO(1) (if theCONVERTIBLELINESWITCH is
switched to PHONO) seeabove. Thesame appliesfor channel 2.
CHANNELROTARYGAIN: TheCHANNEL ROTARYGAIN allows you to
boost thesignal of each individualchannel depending on how low or high
its inputlevel is.
