ALARM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Dear Customer, please read fully this manual and aquaint yourself with the
operation and the functions of your alarm system.
Below are described the alarm module functions:
! System arming and disarming by the original radio control.
! Acoustic arming/disarming signaling (excludable by programming).
! Optical arming/disarming signaling (required if the vehicle fails to flash its
indicators on remote lock and unlock).
! Perimetric protection.
! Volumetric protection (excludible by arming).
! Electrical engine immobiliser.
! Memory Led.
! Multifunction electronic key.
! Emergency disarming by electronic key.
NOTE: This manual covers the 7733 alarm system with all added accessories.
GEMINI 7732: Same as 7733 without self-powered battery.
OPERATING DESCRIPTION
COMPLETE ALARM ARMING
Press the lock button on the original radio control of the vehicle or insert the
electronic key into the specific receptacle.
Arming will be indicated by two short acoustic signals and by a number of
optical signals, (default vehicles manufacturer setting).
ALARM ARMING WITH VEHICLE MECHANICAL KEY
In some vehicles, when using the mechanical key for the door locking, the
alarm system will arm.
It is possible in some cases, when unlocking the vehicle by the mechanical key,
during the neutral time of arming, the alarm system will disarm.
For obvious safety reasons when the alarm is fully armed the system can only
be disarmed by remote control or by override procedure, not via the
mechanical door key.
ALARM ARMING WITH EXCLUSION OF VOLUMETRIC PROTECTION
This function allows the user to arm the system, with volumetric protection
excluded (leaving a window open)
To active this function, the system must be disarmed and the ignition switched
“OFF” and then proceed as follows:
! Turn the ignition “ON” and wait for one second the status led switches off
(the drivers door can be open or close at this point).
! Introduce the electronic key into the receptacle.
!
! Turn the ignition “OFF”.
NOTE: when an immediate re-arming of volumetric sensors is required, switch
the ignition “ON” and “OFF”.
! Press the lock button of the vehicle's original radio control or insert the
electronic key into the receptacle.
!
NOTE: rearming the alarm system will re-introduce volumetric sensors.
INHIBIT TIME
The inhibit arming time lasts for approxiately 25 seconds and is indicated by a
illuminated Led.
SYSTEM ARMED
After the inhibit time (about 25 sec.), the system is armed and it is ready to
detect any theft attempt.
When the system fully armed, the LED flashes.
After disarming the system, any occured attempt will be indicated by the alarm
with visual/acoustic signaling (see relative paragraph).
ALARM, INHIBIT TIME AND ALARM CYCLES
As mentioned before, the alarm will indicate any theft attempt by
optical/acoustic signals.
After the alarm has been triggered, before another alarm cause, there is a 5
second “neutral time”.
The alarm can trigger on each input circuit 5 cycles of 30 seconds.
The ignition key (+15/54) and the cut wire alarm signaling have no cycle
limitation.
ALARM DISARMING
Press the unlock button of the vehicle's original radio control.
Disarming is indicated by three short acoustic signals and by a number of
optical signals, which have been programmed by the vehicles manufacturer.
If an alarm condition has occurred, it will be signalled by five quick acoustic
signals.
See next paragraphs for possible causes and relative signaling.
ALARM MEMORY
When disarming the alarm, if the alarm beeps 5 times, it is possible to identify
the alarm cause by turning the ignition “ON” and look at the vehicle status
LED.
The LED will flash, showing the last alarm trigger condition.
The status led will illuminate for one second and two short acoustic signals
will indicate the exclusion of volumetric sensors.
Two acoustic signals and the number of optical signals that has been
programmed by the car's manufacturer will indicate that the system has
been armed.
