• Only use the types of power supply (mains power supply or battery) for
operating the appliance, specified in the following section “Technical
Specifications”. Do not attempt to connect the appliance to any other
type of power supply to avoid damage. Do not short-circuit the termi-
nals within the battery compartment of the appliance. Risk of Explosion
and Severe Injuries! Do not expose the battery to heat or fire. Do
not short-circuit the battery via an electrically conducting connec-
tion of the terminals. Only use batteries with the appliance that are
recommended by the manufacturer. Do not install any battery not
recommended by the manufacturer. Do not install batteries probab-
ly damaged. The terminals must be clean and smooth without any
corrosion and discolouration. There may be no cracks, bulges, or
wet stains on the housing of the battery. Batteries contain acids and
other harmful substances. Do not attempt to open or repair the battery.
Dispose of exhausted batteries via the local collection facilities.
• Always remove the battery and store the battery separately, if the
appliance is going to be stored for an elongated period of time to
avoid damage (see: “Installing or Replacing the Battery”).
