Note:
If the lid is still locked, an acoustic signal will sound and “OPEN LID” will appear
on the LCD screen. However, the Multicook can only detect, whether the lid is
locked via the lid knob. Ensure to lift the lid to the stable open position. Otherwise,
the REDUCE function will not work properly.
6. Press the START/Select dial to start cooking. The STOP/CANCEL button back-
light will illuminate red, the LCD screen will illuminate orange, and “PREHEA-
TING” will be shown.
Once the cooker has reached temperature, “PREHEATING” will disappear and
the timer will start counting down.
7. At any time during the cooking process you may:
- adjust the cooking time by turning the TIME dial,
- change the temperature level via the TEMP/Pressure dial,
- pause the cooking cycle by pressing the STOP/CANCEL button,
- cancel the cycle by holding the STOP/CANCEL button pressed for 2 seconds.
8. At the end of the reduce cycle, the cooker alert will sound, the STOP/CANCEL
button backlight will go out and the LCD screen will illuminate blue.
WARNING: After operation, the appliance and all parts of it (especially the hea-
ting compartment) will be hot. Only touch the appliance by the handles. Ensure to
protect your hands and arms with oven gloves to avoid scalds, when
taking out the cooking pot
. Do not place the hot cooking pot on surfaces sensi-
tive to heat, fat, or moisture to avoid damage.
9. Protect your hands with oven gloves and take out the cooking pot. Ensure to
place the cooking pot only on a surface resistant to heat, fat, and moisture and
where the cooking pot will not tilt, wobble, or fall.
Note:
After 5 minutes of inactivity, standby mode will be activated. The control panel
will get dark.
THE SEAR FUNCTION
The SEAR function is designed to enhance and deepen the taste of meals by easily
using the same cooking pot for caramelising and browning foods before pressure
or slow cooking.
