Maintenance of the Guide Bar
Remove the guide bar and clean the
oil filler hole with a brush or blow it
out with compressed air. If the oil tank
is contaminated, clean out rough dirt.
When the guide bar is dismounted,
remove sawdust in the guide bar.
Lubricate the nose sprocket from the
feeding port on the tip of the guide
bar.
Reverse the guide bar occasionally to prevent partial wear.
Maintenance of the Saw Chain
ATTENTION! For safe and proper operation the cutting teeth of the saw
chain must always be kept sharp.
The saw teeth must be sharpened when the saw dust takes on a
powder-like consistency, excessive force is needed to force the saw
into the cut, the chain does not cut straight or if vibration increases.
Dull chains should be sharpened by a skilled expert.
