▪ Only use this appliance for cooking eggs.
▪ ALWAYS place the appliance on a solid and flat base, such as a kitchen counter or table, so that the appliance
won’t move or turn over.
▪ NEVER place the appliance near curtains, wall decorations, clothing, towels or other flammable objects.
▪ Do NOT touch the steam hole or the heating plate when the appliance is in use.
▪ Be careful with the sharp egg piercer at the bottom of the measuring cup.
▪ The heating plate must NOT come into direct contact with food.
▪ NEVER use extension cords or sockets. Place the appliance near a power point and connect it directly. ALWAYS
completely unroll the power cord.
▪ NEVER let the cord hang over the edge of the table or the counter.
▪ NEVER place the power cord or the appliance near heat sources such as cookers, heatings or ovens.
▪ NEVER turn the power cord around the appliance, NEVER bend it or squeeze it.
▪ NEVER leave the appliance unattended and NEVER move it when it is plugged in or when it is operating.
▪ NEVER cover the appliance when it is in use or still cooling down.
▪ NEVER use accessories or spare parts from other appliances or brands.
▪ ALWAYS switch off the appliance and pull out the plug:
o when the appliance is not in use;
o if the appliance doesn’t work properly;
o when cleaning the appliance.
▪ Repairs may only be done by a recognized repairer or service center.
2. BEFORE THE FIRST USE
▪ Remove all packagings and stickers.
▪ Keep all packing material out of reach of children.
▪ Check if there is no damage to the appliance or the power cord. If there is any damage, do NOT use the appliance
and return it to the sales point.
▪ Before using it for the first time, clean the appliance (see point 4).
▪ For a first cleaning: fill the appliance with a small amount of water (± 100 ml) and switch the appliance on.
▪ Ensure that the voltage marked on the rating-plate of the appliance is the same as your main voltage. The
appliance can only be used with 230V alternating current.
▪ When using it for the first time, an odour might be released. This is normal and only temporary, it will disappear
soon.
3. USE
▪ The appliance must be clean and dry.
▪ Use the egg piercer from the measuring cup to pierce the bottom - the larger side - of the eggs.
▪ Pour the right amount of water onto the hot plate. Depending on the number of eggs and the desired hardness,
add the right amount of water to obtain the optimal cooking time. Refer to the table on the next page.
▪ Place the egg tray in the appliance.
▪ Place the desired quantity of eggs in the egg tray.
▪ Cover the appliance with the lid. The lid always needs to be on top of the appliance when it’s operating.
▪ Plug in the power cord.
▪ Push the on/off button.
▪ Wait until you hear the sound signal before removing the eggs from the appliance.
▪ Carefully remove the lid from the appliance using the handles. CAUTION: hot steam will be released.
TIP: rinse the eggs under cold water to make them easier to peel.
