We recommend that you touch only the tem-
perature control knob and the handles.
Disconnect the fryer from the mains and
allow it to cool before moving it, otherwise
you or somebody close by may be burnt.
• Never place or operate the fryer on the floor,
because of the risk of collision and burning.
Pay close attention to the fryer while it is
working, and always keep children away.
• Ensure that the basin is clean and dry when
filling it with oil; even a few drops of water
can cause splashing during frying.
• Always disconnect the fryer when not in use,
and ensure that everything has cooled before
taking the fryer down or replacing the lid.
• In the event of malfunction, do not use the
fryer but allow an approved after-sales depart-
ment to examine it.
• If the cable is damaged, have it replaced by
a competent authorised person.
• Keep these operating instructions for future
use.
Breakdowns and/or damage caused by
failure to respect these instructions are not
covered by the guarantee.
This fryer is designed for domestic use.
Frozen foods
If water or ice is placed in a fryer at high tem-
perature, hot liquid will be splashed about and
vigorous boiling will occur, causing the volume
of the oil to increase greatly. For this reason,
you are asked to:
• Minimise the amount of frozen food fried at
any one time.
• Remove any ice crystals on the surface of the
food.
Immerse the frozen food slowly into the
cooking oil and remove it as soon as the indi-
cator light comes on.
Wait for the light to go out and then re-
immerse the food in the cooking oil. Then
refer to the cooking instructions shown on
the packaging or in the table below.
Never allow a basket full of frozen food to
hang over insufficiently heated oil, as this
will cause splashing.
Recommendations
Never add fresh oil to used oil in the basin.
Wipe food with absorbent paper BEFORE
immersing it in the oil (in order to remove
juices and liquids) and AFTERWARDS to
remove excess fat.
Replace the oil as soon as changes become
apparent, such as darkening, a sour taste or
a burning smell.
Never mix oils of different qualities.
Never salt or season
food before frying or
while they are suspended over the oil.
Advice in case of malfunction
1. If the fuse on the fryer blows:
Check the fuse on the electrical instal-
lation:
2000 watts = 10A (amps)
3200 watts = 16A (amps)
2. The fryer stops heating:
The safety thermostat has released:
- press the reset button (10) to lock it
again
The safety connector has released:
- position the control box correctly
3. The oil or fat smokes:
The quality of the oil or fat has dete-
riorated; it must be replaced
4. Fried food is too fatty:
The quality of the oil or fat has dete-
riorated; it must be replaced
5. There is a risk of splash or overflow:

Check the quality of the potatoes
Check the quantity of water
Check the quantity of oil
