Tip!
If you have heavily clogged nozzles which you cannot get clean with the "Clean nozzle" func-
tion, instead use a liquid print head cleaner* or alternatively distilled or demineralised water:
1. Remove the ink jet cassette. To do so, use the Change Print Head function (see further
below, Chapter 5.6.3. Changing the ink jet cassette).
2. Moisten a lint-free cloth or a paper-based cleaning cloth with print head cleaner or with
water.
3. Wipe the print head slowly over the moistened cloth. Repeat this procedure until two
continuous blue lines become visible.
4. Avoid shaking the ink jet cassette; doing so could destroy it.
5. Clean the contacts on the cassette with a cloth. Use only undliuted alcohol or print head
cleaning fluid. NEVER use water!
6. Re-insert the ink jet cassette and follow the instructions on Page 30 to adjust it.
7. If the printed impressions are still not satisfactory, please contact our Customer Support
Department.
