Fig.25: Maximum extension height of the seat post
WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
If you exceed the maximum extension
height of the seat post, the seat post
may buckle or break. Serious falls and
injuries can result.
Observe the maximum extension
height of the seat post. Never ride
with the support pulled out further.
i
Important: If you need a longer
seat post to achieve the correct
seat height, contact your FLYER
specialist dealer.
How to find the right saddle height:
Sit on your e-bike and, with the crank in
the vertical position, place the heel of
your foot on the lower pedal with your
shoes off.
Now the leg below should be stretched.
If this is not the case, dismount, adjust
the saddle in the necessary direction and
try again.
i
Important: If your e-bike has a sus-
pension seat post, keep in mind that
the saddle compresses when you
sit on it. The saddle therefore has a
higher position than usual when
standing or mounting. This situation
can initially lead to uncertainty for
inexperienced cyclists.
Saddle position
The horizontal position of the saddle can
and should also be adjusted.
The best cycling position is when your
front knee is exactly above the pedal with
the crank in a horizontal position.
i
Important: The horizontal adjust-
ment of the saddle may only take
place within the markings and the
range specified by the manufac-
turer.
Have your FLYER specialist dealer
adjust the horizontal saddle position or
instruct you to do so.
17.2 Notes on lowerable seat
posts
With a lowerable seat post, you can quickly
and flexibly lower and raise the saddle height
in difficult terrain, for example, in front of high
steps, using a lever on the handlebars.
WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
Changing the seat post height while
cycling can lead to loss of control over
the seat post or the e-bike. Serious falls
and injuries can result.
First practice using the lowerable
seat post in a suitable environment
and while cycling smoothly until you
have mastered its use.
Do not ride your e-bike if the lower-
able seat post does not function
reliably, but first contact your FLYER
specialist dealer to have the prob-
lem rectified.
i
Important: Have your FLYER spe-
cialist dealer instruct you on how to
adjust and use the lowerable seat
post.
To lower the saddle: Operate the lever
on the handlebars and load the saddle at
the same time.
