Inordertotransferthepedalforcee󰀨ectivelyto

the pedals, you must set your seat to the appro-

priate height.

Find the ideal position by sitting on the FLYER at

the vertical crank position and placing the heel of

your bare foot onto the pedal in its lowest position.

Now the bottom leg should be stretched. If this

is not the case, dismount, adjust the seat in the

required direction and try again.

Ensure that the quick-release fastener is com-

pletely closed after the adjustment process.

There are markings on the seat post

which show how far it can be pulled out

of the frame. Never pull the seat post be-

yond the maximum length marking. Oth-

erwise the seat post may buckle or

break. If you require a longer seat post

to reach the correct sitting position, talk

to your FLYER specialist retailer.

Never ride with a seat post extended fur-

ther than the maximum marker as this

could result in serious falls and injury.

Childrenandpersonswhoarenotcon-

dent cyclists should be able to touch the

ground with the tips of both feet. Other-

wise, when stopping they run the risk of

fallingandsu󰀨eringseriousinjury.

Seatposition

The horizontal position of the seat can and should

be set too.

You are in the optimal riding position when your

front knee is directly above the pedal while the

crank is horizontally aligned.

The horizontal adjustment of the seat may only

be performed within the markers and within the

rangespeciedbythemanufacturer.

Test whether the seat post and the seat

arermlyattachedbeforeyourideo󰀨.

To do this, hold the seat at the front and

back and attempt to turn it. It should not

move.

Telescopingseatpost

Some of the Uproc X and

Goroc X models are equip-

ped with a height-adjustable

seat post.

The height of the seat can

lowered by operating the

switch on the handlebars

while pushing down on the

seat. If you want to return to your normal riding

position, simply operate the handlebar switch

andbrieyremoveanyloadpushingdownonthe

seat. The support then resets the seat to its usual

height.
