Place the car seat against the backrest of the vehicle seat (7).
Check that the vehicle seat headrest does not obstruct the car seat. If this should be the case
then adjust or remove the vehicle headrest.
With your child sitting upright and back in the seat, extract the adult seat belt and pass it
across the front of the child.
Locate the upper portion of the diagonal section of the adult belt into the belt guide, indicated
with a red arrow, found on the side of the headrest cover (8). Pass the lap section of the
adult belt over the child’s lap and under the armrest on both sides of the seat indicated by
red arrow markers. Ensure the lap belt is low down on the childs lap and firmly engaging
with the pelvis. Connect the adult belt connector tongue to the seat belt buckle (9).
Ensure that on the buckle side both the lap and diagonal sections of the adult seat belt pass
under the armrest. Now adjust the headrest so that the diagonal belt section passes over the
shoulder midway between the neck and the end of the shoulder. The headrest belt guide
should be near level with the child’s shoulder (10) (11). To remove your child from the car
seat, simply unbuckle the seat belt and place it at the side of the car seat. The belt will remain
suspended from the headrest belt guide.
However safe a child seat is, however well built it is, your child’s safety depends on
you carrying out the following checks before every journey.
Final Checklist
A cup holder is provided and can be secured to the side of the seat base behind the armrest.
A fixing point is accessible through a small opening in the cover (12).

Securing the Car Seat and your Child
Check the car seat is facing forwards in the vehicle and in the direction of travel (7).
Check the adult seat belt is fitted correctly with the lap section under the armrest
and the diagonal under the armrest on the buckle side (9).
Check the upper diagonal section is located in the belt guide on the head rest (8).
Check the vehicle seat belt is not twisted or slack.
Check the head rest position is at the correct height with the diagonal belt going
over the shoulder (11).
Important! Misusing your child seat will reduce the protection and safety you offer your child.
Adjusting the Headrest
Your car seat is fitted with an adjustable headrest that has been designed to support your
child throughout growth by providing maximum lateral head protection.
Never remove the backrest of your car seat.
The headrest can be moved up or down through a series of stop positions.
To do this hold firmly on the top of the backrest and pull or push on the headrest until it
moves into the required stop position to suit the size of your child (6).
