Safety measures

• Onlyusesawbladesrecommended

bythemanufacturercomplyingwith

therequirementsofEN847-1.When

changingthesawblade,ensurethatthe

widthofcutisnotlessandthesawblade

bodyisnotthickerthanthethicknessof

thesplittingwedge.

• Onlyuseasawbladethatissuitablefor

thematerialtobecut.

• Ifnecessarywearsuitablepersonal

protectiveequipment.

 Thesecouldinclude:

- Hearing protectors for reducing the risk

of hearing impairment.

- Respiratory protection for reducing the

risk of inhaling harmful dust.

- Wear gloves when handling saw blades

and rough materials.

Saw blade must always be carried in a

container where practical.

• Whensawingwood,circularsawsmustbe

connectedtoasawdustcollector.

• Donotusesawbladesofhigh-alloyhigh-

speedsteel(HSSsteel).

• Thepushstickmustbekeptatthe

machinewhennotinuse.

Maintenance and service

• Defectsinthemachine,includingguards

andthesawblademustbereportedtothe

personresponsibleforsafetyimmediately

upontheirdiscovery.

Safe operation

• Usethepushstickorhandlewithsliding

blocktoguidetheworkpiecesafelyalong

thesawblade.

• Usethesplittingwedgeandadjust

correctly.

• Usetheuppersawbladeguardandadjust

correctly.

• Donotmakerebatesorgrooveswithout

usingsuitableasuitableguardsuchasa

tunnelguardttedabovethesawtable.

• Circularsawsmustnotbeusedforslitting

(groovecompletedinworkpiece).

• Onlyusesawbladesthemaximumspeed

ofwhichisnotslowerthatthemaximum

spindlespeedofthecircularsawbench.

• Whentransportingthemachine,onlyuse

thetransportdevicesandnevertheguards

forhandlingortransportpurposes.

• Theupperpartofthesawbladeshouldbe

covered,e.g.withguardduringtransport.

Further important information

• Alwaysusetheguardswhenmaking

longitudinalandcrosscuts.

• Alwayspresstheworkpiecermlyagainst

thelongitudinalormitrestop.

• Alwaysuseapushstickwhenrip-cutting

narrowworkpieces.

• Neverreachbehindorabovethesaw

blade.

• Removethelongitudinalstopwhenmaking

crosscuts.

• Neverattempttoreleaseajammedsaw

bladewithoutswitchingoffthesawrst.

Switchoffthesawimmediatelytoprevent

damagetothemotor.

• Neverattempttoreleaseworkpieces

withoutswitchingoffthesawrst.Donot

reachintotheareaoftherotatingsaw

blade.

• Ensurethattheendandsidesofthesaw

tablearesufcientlysupportedtoprevent

wideorlongworkpiecesfromtilting.

• Avoidworkpiecereboundby:

- always using a sharp saw blade

- parallel alignment of the parallel stop to

the saw blade

- gripping the workpiece until it has been

pushed fully through the saw blade.

- no ripping of distorted or deformed

workpieces without straight edge that

can be guided along the longitudinal

stop.

• Avoidchanginghandsandgripping

positionswherehandsareliabletoslipand

makecontactwiththesawblade.

• Onlyusethesawtocutwoodorsimilar

materials.

Beforeuse,removethetransportprotection:

• Disassemblethebottomplatebyloosening

the4screws.

• Removethetransportprotectionbelow

motor.

• Thehandlesforheightandmitresettingof

thesawbladearelocatedinthetransport

protectioninsidethemachine.

• Reassemblethebottomplate.
