4) Pour in the rest of gasoline and agitate again
for at least one minute. As some oils may be
difficult to agitate depending on oil ingredients,
sufficient agitation is necessary for the engine
to last long. Be careful that, if the agitation is
insufficient, there is an increased danger of early
piston seizing due to abnormally lean mixture.
5) Put a clear indication on the outside of the
container to avoid mixing up with gasoline or
other containers.
6) Indicate the contents on outside of container
for easy identification.
Shake the mixture correctly before
pouring it into the fuel tank.
Fuel Storage
Fuel can be stored for a limited time period only.
Fuel and mixtures get old. Old fuel mixture can
cause problems during starting of the chainsaw.
Mix only as much of the mixture as you need for
the following 4 week period.
Fueling the unit
Fig. 4
1) Untwist and remove the fuel cap. Rest the cap
on a dustless place.
2) Put fuel into the fuel tank to 80% of the full
capacity.
3) Fasten the fuel cap securely and wipe up any
fuel spillage around the unit.
Select flat and bare ground for fueling.
Move at least 10 feet (3 meters) away
from the fueling point before starting the
engine.
Stop the engine before refueling the unit.
At that time, be sure to sufficiently
agitate the mixed gasoline in the
container.
Saw chain oil
Fig. 4
Use motor oil SAE #10W-30 all year round or SAE
#30 ~ #40 in summer and SAE #20 in winter.
Do not use wasted or regenerated oil
that can cause damage to the oil pump.
To enable sufficient oil lubrication of the saw
chain, there must be a sufficient amount of oil in
the tank.
Whenever filling the fuel mixture to the
tank, also replenish the oil for saw
chains.
To oil the chain saw and guide bar, use only
ecological, biologically degradable oil for saw
chains, then eventually oil for saw chains on the
basis of mineral oils (ISO VG 100).
Oils for saw chains stick when not used
for a long time. This can cause damage
to the oil pump or parts using the oil.
How to avoid it:
Empty the oil for saw chains out of the oil tank
of the chain saw.
Replenish the tank with a little engine oil.
Allow the chain saw to run for some time
to enable the oil to flow and to clean the oil
pump.
Before further use of the chain saw, again
replenish the tank with oil for saw chains.
4. OPERATION
Engine start
Fig. 4, 5a, 5b
Before starting the saw be sure to loosen
the chain brake. The safety cover should
be pulled to the front handle.
It is very dangerous to run a chainsaw
that mounts broken parts or lacks any
parts. Before starting engine, make sure
that all the parts including bar and chain
are installed properly.
When restarting immediately after
stopping the engine, leave the choke
knob at the open position.
When restarting immediately after
stopping the engine, leave the choke
knob at the open position.
