Adjusting the sawing depth
Fig. 6
The sawing depth can be accurately adjusted in millimetres using the sawing depth adjustment
knob. The long lines of the depth scale indicate whole millimetres and the short lines indicate
half millimetres.
To adjust the depth by whole millimetres, rotate the adjustment knob so that the whole number
is visible. For the best result when sawing wood and plastic, the sawing depth much be slightly
greater than the thickness of the material. When sawing metal, the sawing depth must be 1.0
mm greater than the thickness of the material.
N.B.: To prevent scratches or damage to the surface below, the sawing depth can be set to the
thickness of the material when sawing wood or plastic, but this can cause rough cutting edges.
N.B.: If it is difficult to rotate the adjustment knob, unscrew it until the rubber seal becomes
visible. Use a soft brush to clean the area around the seal and apply a few drops of synthetic oil
to it.
Adjusting the length
Fig. 7
In order to saw neatly, it is important to know where the saw must start and finish. There are
numbers on both sides of the protective cover which correspond to the sawing depth settings
and which indicate the start and finish points of the blade.
Mark where the material is to be sawn. If the area to be sawn is not square or rectangular,
the start and finish lines must be indicated separately. These points must be drawn
perpendicular to the sawing line.
In order to use the length setting, the sawing depth must first be set as described
previously. Set it to, for example, 9 mm. Find the number, in this case 9, at the front and
back of the protective cover.
Make sure the line under the number is aligned with the starting point of the line to be sawn.
Saw until the line under the number at the front of the cover is aligned with the end point of
the line to be sawn.
Temperature safety device
The Precision Circular Saw has a temperature limiting device for protecting the saw against
overheating. If this turns on, then do not start the saw before it has cooled down.
The saw will cut out when the temperature safety device is activated. The plug must then be
removed from the plug socket and you will only be able to restart the saw once it has cooled
down. It may take 15 minutes for the saw to cool down sufficiently.
The temperature safety device is activated in the following circumstances:
When using blunt blades.
If a too large force is exerted when sawing.
Constant sawing of very hard or very thick material.

3. ANVENDELSE
Aftagning af beskyttelseskappe
Fig. 2
fure i basispladen.
