Handling.
The chipping protector (13) must
always be mounted to protect the user
from the chippings.
The contact surface for the magnetic foot
must be smooth, clean and rust-free.
Remove any varnish or flat coat.
The core drill is unsuitable for anti-mag-
netic materials.
For guaranteeing the magnetic adhesion
force also for steel materials of less than
12 mm thickness, the work piece should
be reinforced using an additional steel
plate.
Use the correct speed as given in the table.
The coolant pump (l) for assisting the
cooling should always be mounted before
starting any work. As a coolant, a cooling
lubricant of a lighter grade should be used
that can be pumped without clogging the
pump mechanism.
Danger of injury! Danger of an
electric shock
When working on walls and ceilings avoid
any (coolant) fluid penetrating the core
drill.
Recommendation: work without using
any coolant.
For switching ON/OFF.
First check that the cable and plug are
not damaged.
Switch on the main switch (4) to
ensure that the magnet clamps and that
the drill jig is exerting its magnetic
clamping force.
When working on walls and ceilings,
secure the unit with a safety strap (k).
Switch on the drill motor.
The motor only starts running when the
main switch (4) has been switched on
first, followed by the motor switch (9).
The magnetic foot (8) is monitored by a
current sensor. If the magnetic foot (8) is
defective the motor does not run.
If the motor is overloaded, the electronics
automatically switch off. The motor can
be started again by switching the motor
switch (9) OFF and ON again.
If the current feed is interrupted while the
motor is switched on, or the power tool
is plugged in when the motor switch (9) is
switched on, the safety device prevents
the motor from running. For putting into
operation, turn the motor switch (9) OFF
and then ON again.
Setting the speed.
For core-drilling using the “FAST”
speed (9) the recommended gear must be
set using the speed switch (10).
The “SLOW” motor setting (9) reduces
the set speed by approximately one half.
This motor setting is intended for drilling
and rubbing. Halving the electrical speed
causes a reduction in power.
