Operation and use
Steam ironing
• Generator start-up (page 13).
• Steam ironing is possible when the fabric knob [2] is
facing the cotton-linen position.
• The iron on warning light [9] shows that the iron is war-
ming up. Wait a few ninutes until the light switches off.
• Press the button [1] to give steam.
• Each time the appliance is used, a few drops of water
may come out when the steam button [1] is pressed
This is quite normal and is due to the condensate which
forms inside the cold tube. The same may happen
when the iron has not been used for some time.
• The desired volume of steam is adjusted using the con-
troller [13]:
less steam = turn to the left
more steam = turn to the right
The steam button [1] also has a continuous steam
mode. To use the continuous mode push the steam
button [F] further down, the button is locked in the
contiuous mode. Use a light touch to unlock the
button and the functions are deactivated.
• The steam can be used to remove shiny patches and to
freshen clothing, wool fabrics, curtains etc. [15].
Dry ironing
• The iron also be used in the traditional way, without
steam [16].
The iron heats up independently from the generator.
