20. Temperature control in Multi-Boiler machines
If the machine is a multi-boiler machine, it will have a digital temperature adjusting system, independent for
each brewing group.
There are the following types of multi-boiler machines depending on the machine line:
• 1 group 2 boilers.
• 2 groups 3 boilers
• 3 groups 4 boilers.
The temperature control is performed by a PID thermostat, which get an unbeatable temperature output stability
and control.
20.1. Normal mode
Note that in each brewing group there is a numeric display and
two keypads: “
^” y “v”. Corresponding to each thermostat
During normal mode, each display shows the current
temperature for each group.
The little dot shows when the heating element is active in each
boiler. “Heating element signal”.
20.2. Disconnection of each thermostat
Pressing the button “^” for more than 2 seconds, will make the corresponding
thermostat to turn off; the display will show “OFF” and the group will begin to cool
down.
20.3. Conection of each thermostat
To activate each thermostat (if it was “oFF”) press any of the buttons “^” or “v”. It will switch to normal mode.
20.4. Adjusting group temperature
To adjust the temperature set for each group, proceed as following:
Being the machine connected and the thermostat in normal mode:
• Press briefly the button “v”. The thermostat will show on the display the
message “PrG”:
• Inmediately, press briefly the button “^”, the display will show the setting temperature “set point”.
• Increase or decrease the value of this temperature through the buttons: “^” (+) y “v” (-).
• Have in mind, that after 3 seconds since the last actuation on the buttons,
the thermostat will automatically come back to the normal mode.
20.5. Factory defaults / Reset of parameters
If, due to any reason, the working parameters of the thermostat became de-configured, or just an abnormal
performance of the brewing group temperature was observed; don’t have any doubt, it will be very likely solved
by resetting the parameters of the thermostat, coming it back to factory defaults. To perform a factory reset:
• Being the machine switch off, keep pressed the button “
^” and turn it off without releasing it.
• When the machine shows “PrS”, release the button.
• To get to normal mode, just switch off and again on the machine from the
main switch..
20.6. Alarms of the thermostat
Case the temperature probe got disconnected, the display will show the error “A1”.
Case the temperature probe got shor-circuited, the display will show the error “A2”.
