Defrosting
Refrigerator compartment
The defrosting process is automatic. Condensation is removed automatically via the system installed for this purpose. This
water is collected at the back and evaporates there due to the heat from the motor.
Freezer
Defrosting the freezer is a manual process.
Turn the thermostat knob to the OFF position and keep the freezer door open. Remove all food, ice block trays and
suchlike.
Remove all remnants of products from the refrigerator, such as crumbs. After it has defrosted, wipe the refrigerator
dry with a clean cloth.
Use the thermostat knob to set the refrigerator to the desired setting again.
NOTE
Do not use sharp objects to remove the pieces of ice that have frozen stuck; allow the refrigerator to defrost at its own pace.
Maintenance of your refrigerator
The refrigerator must be clean, and it should be cleaned at least once per month to prevent odors from taking hold.
Cleaning the refrigerator
Remove the plug from the socket.
Remove all movable parts from the inside, such as shelf panels. Use a clean sponge and a soft, mild detergent in
lukewarm water. Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents.
Clean everything by hand and remove all particles of dirt with a clean cloth and (or) sponge. Do not use cleaning
agents such as concentrated detergents, domestic bleach or cleaning products on plastic and rubber parts.
Never use paper towels, window cleaner spray, abrasive cleaning agents or flammable liquids on the plastic sections
because they can scratch or damage.
Malfunctions
You can solve malfunctions easily by checking the following:
Your refrigerator does not work; check whether:
The power cable has been disconnected. The thermostat knob has been set to the OFF position. The lighting does not work.
Remove the power cable from the socket if cleaning is required, a light bulb needs to be replaced, etc.
The food becomes too cold in the appliance; check whether:
The thermostat knob has been set too high.
The food is not touching the back wall.
