If you are able to turn this button anti-clockwise, the de-activation system is defective.
You are then not permitted to use the heater or to attempt to resolve this problem. You
must contact the customer service department.
Attention! Danger!
Never remove the batteries while the heater is in operation.
Ensure that good quality alkaline batteries are used
Never ignite the heater with a match, a lighter or any other flame
whatsoever.
B. FILLING THE FUEL TANK
Due to fire safety considerations the fuel tank must be filled in the following manner:
- First, switch the heater off.
- Fill the tank in a different location to the heater.
- In all cases you must check that the refilled tank is correctly sealed and is located at a
safe distance from any heat sources or open flames.
1. Use the handle to pull the fuel tank out of the
heater (diagram D).
2. Open the fuel packaging and insert the straight
suction line of the siphon pump into it (1 in diagram
E).
3. Place the fuel tank with the screw top facing up
next to the fuel packaging, with the handle folded
down. Ensure that the tank is completely stable or
hold it firmly so that it cannot fall over. Now
unscrew the cap of the fuel tank.
4. Insert the flexible, ribbed hose of the siphon pump
(4 in diagram E) into the tank.
5. Pump the fuel from the packaging into the tank by
squeezing the bellows of the pump (2 in diagram
E). The sealing plug of the bellows (3 in diagram E)
must be in the “ON” (closed) position.
6. Monitor the fuel level in the tank. This level can be
seen in the window on the top of the tank (diagram
F).
As soon as this window starts to change from
yellow (1 in diagram F) to black (2 in diagram F),
you must move the sealing plug to the “OFF”
position (therefore unscrewing it a little) and wait
until the pump is empty before you remove it. If the
window is completely black, the tank is too full (3 in diagram F).
Attention: avoid spillage. If this does occur, clean the tank thoroughly before putting it
back into the heater.
7. Put the cap back on to the fuel tank and place the tank back into the heater. The
window of the fuel tank is now located at the bottom of the heater. You can see this
window through the housing of the heater. It is black (1 in diagram G), and when it
changes to yellow (2 in diagram G) this means that there is only a small quantity of
fuel remaining and that you must refill the tank. When the window changes to
completely yellow (3 in diagram G) the tank is completely empty.
ATTENTION: Check that the heater is switched off and cool before refilling the tank. You are
only permitted to remove the tank from the heater when this is the case. This prevents the
possibility of accidents caused by droplets falling onto the heater.
