C. FUEL
FUEL TYPE
More than 95% of the problems with a petroleum heater are due to using an incorrect type of
fuel or contaminated fuel. These problems are not covered by the guarantee!
Only use pure petroleum that is suitable for mobile heaters. The Petroleum must meet the
ordinance of 8 January 1998 and 18 July 2002. The aromatics must have been removed
from the petroleum (max. 1% permitted) and the petroleum must be completely free of
contaminants. The ignition point must be above 61°.
Your reserve tank must be clean and empty when you fill it or have it filled. It may not contain
any dirt or liquid (water, diesel, benzene, etc.) remnants. Keep the reserve tank especially for
the fuel for your heater!
PETROLEUM STORAGE
Do not store your petroleum in the vicinity of a heat source and do not expose it to sunlight.
Petroleum that has been stored for too long loses its purity and thereby its effectiveness. So
never store fuel until the next season.
D. PREPARATION FOR USE
1. PLACING THE HEATER LEVEL
Check that the heater is standing in a safe location (not where people walk!) and on an even,
stable and horizontal surface. If the heater is not level, the automatic de-activation may
prevent it from operating.
2. WICK
Before the first use, you must give the wick several hour to absorb the petroleum. Use only
pure petroleum that is suitable for heaters, without aromatics or contamination, with an
ignition point above 61°. This is also to extend the life span of the wick.
