Assemble the swivel wheels and feet (see image ‘Description’):
Remove the plastic cover caps from the metal brackets (4x)
Remove the cap nut from the swivel wheels (4x)
Stick the threaded part of the swivel wheels through the holes at the end of the metal
brackets (4x)
Screw the cap nuts tightly onto the threaded part of the swivel wheels (4x)
Place the plastic cover caps back on the metal brackets (4x)
Slide the feet (brackets and swivel wheel) onto the base of the radiator so that the
radiator’s protruding screw holes fall into the central hole on the metal bracket. (2x)
Secure the feet to the radiator with the short, thick screws (2x).
Place the radiator upright; it is now ready for use.
Choose a suitable location for the heater which is at least one metre away from any
obstructions, walls or inflammable materials (see also safety instructions).
Make sure a functioning heater is always placed on a solid, flat and horizontal surface.
Never place it on a bed, couch, deep pile carpet etcetera!
Check that the socket used is earthed and that it matches the power specified on the
heater’s type plate.
Warning: only use the heater if it is standing upright, with a secure base (as pictured on
the front of this booklet). Any other position is dangerous!
Mounted (secured to a wall):
Choose a solid, flat and completely vertical wall made of non-flammable and non-melting
material on which to mount the heater (i.e. no wood, synthetic materials, etc!)
Decide where you want to mount the heater. Make sure that the heater has sufficient
space around it at all times and that no inflammable materials are located nearby (see
also safety instructions). Do not place the heater behind a door! The heater’s underside
needs to be at least 10 cm above the floor, the sides at least 30 cm from the side walls
and the top at least 100 cm from the ceiling, ceiling beams, etcetera.
The radiator must be attached to the wall securely using the 2 large brackets, the 2
small brackets and the 2 clamp plates, see diagram.
Two people are required to carry out this task!
First, decide where the lower brackets are to be
located. They must be horizontal to one another and
their recesses must fall into the screw holes on the
base of the radiator. Secure diagonally to the wall
with the key bolts supplied; 2 key bolts per bracket.
Allow the brackets to drop as far as they can over
the screws and then secure tightly.
Now determine the location of the upper brackets. To
do so, place the heater in the channel of the lower
brackets, keep it perfectly upright and place the
smaller brackets directly above the lower brackets so
that the horizontal part of the bracket lies at the
same height as the top of the radiator. Remove the
radiator and mark the drill holes in the channel on
the brackets, as low as possible. Now secure the
upper brackets to the wall using the 4 plugs and the
4 long screws. Make sure that, with some force, the brackets can still be pushed
downwards.
Now place the radiator in the lower brackets and place both clamp plates on the upper
brackets. Push the upper bracket and clamp plate as far as possible downwards,
allowing the top of the radiator to fall into the channel on the clamp plates. Remove the
