Status overview
Standby state:
The red LED flashes once every 40 seconds to indicate that the smoke detector is
operating properly.
Alarm and test status:
When the test button is pressed or when the smoke detector detects combustion
particles and goes into alarm (constant pulsing sound), the red LED flashes once every
second. The flashing LED and pulsing alarm will continue until the air is cleared or the
test button is released.
Low battery voltage status:
An intermittent chirp with red LED flashing once every 40 seconds.
Malfunction Status:
16 seconds after the alarm chirps every 40 seconds, the red LED flashes once
Pause Function:
The red LED flashes once every 8 seconds after the test button is pressed in the alarm
status
Activation
Before using the smoke detector, it is important to activate it and test it for proper
operation. Press and hold the test button for about 3 seconds until the LED indicator
lights up, then immediately release the test button. The smoke detector will produce a
beep to indicate that it has been activated.
NOTE: If no sound is generated, the smoke detector is not properly activated and
should not be used! The unit must not be deactivated!
