Siren configuration
Learning
Step 1: Remove the screw from the bottom of the siren and remove the upper cover.
Step 2: Undo the two screws fixing the LED cover and remove the LED cover.
Step 3: Set the control unit to learning mode; see the instruction manual of the control unit
for details.
Step 4: Power the siren (switch on BT4) . All the LEDs will blink once and the buzzer will
beep once.
Step 5: Press and release (1 second) the LEARN button. The siren will beep once and the
LED groups 1 and 3 will light up for a short time. Now the siren is in learning mode
and will transmit to the control unit.
Step 6: If the control unit has not received a learning code, press and release (1 second)
the LEARN button again (the siren will not sound this time).

On MP500/xx, in case of learning failure, cancel the siren (e.g. HP01) from the control unit
(for details, refer to the manual of control unit instructions), before attempting again.
Step 7: If the control unit receives the learning code, will be sent to the siren a confirmation
message. After having received the confirmation message, the siren will emit a short
duration beep and the LED group 2 will blink once to indicate that the learning process
was successful. At that point, the siren will exit learning mode.

If the siren does not receive the confirmation code from the control unit within one minute, the siren will exit learning
mode and the LED groups 1 and 3 will be switched off.
Installation
Proceed with the installation after having concluded the learning operation.
Step 1: Deactivate the tamper function on the control unit (EGON). If the siren is installed on MP500/xx, access
“Maintenance” mode (see the instruction manual of the control unit for details). The siren will generate an acoustic
signal to indicate that you are in Maintenance mode / Tamper switch off.

The Tamper function will remain OFF for one hour. The control unit will return the function automatically back to ON
after this period of time.
Step 2: Find the point where to install the siren.
Step 3: Remove the upper cover by removing the screw on the bottom and carefully extracting the external container.
Step 4: Remove the LED cover by loosening the two screws which fix it.
Step 5: Power the siren by setting the switch to position BT4.
Step 6: Check the radio connection level by setting the control unit in Walk Test mode and pressing the learn button.
Step 7: If the test is successful, position the LED cover and fix it with two screws.
Step 8: Identify the four mounting holes, install and fix the siren to the wall using the large screws and the anchor bolts
provided. Tighten the screws and make sure that the Tamper switch is fully pressed against the wall. If there is a
gap, fill it with suitable spacer material.
Step 9: Reposition the upper cover by coupling it to the top of the base. Press the bottom of the upper cover onto the base
and tighten the screw of the bottom.
Step 10: Reactivate the tamper function on the control unit. If the siren is installed on MP500/xx, exit “Maintenance” mode
(see the instruction manual of the control unit for details).
