Siren configuration
Learning procedure
Step 1: Remove the screw from the bottom of the siren and remove the upper
cover.
Step 2: Undo the two screws fixing the LED cover and remove the LED cover.
Step 3: Set the control unit to learning mode; see the instruction manual of the
control unit for details.
Step 4: Power the siren (switch on BT4) . All the LEDs will blink once and the
buzzer will beep once.
Step 5: Press and release (1 second) the LEARN button. The siren will beep once
and the LED groups 1 and 3 will light up for a short time. Now the siren is
in learning mode and will transmit to the control unit.
Step 6: If the control unit has not received a learning code, press and release (1
second) the LEARN button again (the siren will not sound this time).

On MP500/xx, in case of learning failure, cancel the siren (e.g. HP01) from the control unit (for
details, refer to the manual of control unit instructions), before attempting again.
Step 7: If the control unit receives the learning code, will be sent to the siren a
confirmation message. After having received the confirmation message, the
siren will emit a short duration beep and the LED group 2 will blink once to
indicate that the learning process was successful. At that point, the siren will
exit learning mode.
<NOTE>
If the siren does not receive the confirmation code from the control unit within one minute, the siren will exit learning
mode and the LED groups 1 and 3 will be switched off.
Walk Test
Proceed with the Walk Test and installation after having concluded the learning operation.
Step 1: Deactivate the tamper function on the control unit (EGON). If the siren is installed on MP500/xx, access
“Maintenance” mode (see the instruction manual of the control unit for details). The siren will generate an
acoustic signal to indicate that you are in Maintenance mode / Tamper switch off.
<NOTE>
The Tamper function will remain OFF for one hour. The control unit will return the function automatically back
to ON after this period of time.
Step 2: Find the point where to install the siren.
Step 3: Remove the upper cover by removing the screw on the bottom and carefully extracting the external container.
Step 4: Remove the LED cover by loosening the two screws which fix it.
Step 5: Check the radio connection level by setting the control unit in Walk Test mode and pressing the learn button.
Step 6: If the test is successful, position the LED cover and fix it with two screws.
Installation
Step 1: Identify the four mounting holes, install and fix the siren to the wall using the large screws and the anchor
bolts provided. Tighten the screws and make sure that the Tamper switch is fully pressed against the wall. If
there is a gap, fill it with suitable spacer material.
