signs of damage, the device must not be used. Do not try to repair the device yourself
or to replace the cable or plug. In the event of damage, please immediately contact
the customer service department or visit an authorised workshop to guarantee your
own safety.
Handle the device with care. Make sure moving parts function perfectly and do not
jam and check whether parts are broken or damaged in such a way that the function
of the device is impaired. Have damaged parts repaired before using the device.
Many accidents can be attributed to poorly maintained electrical tools.
Check the device each time before you use it for any deposits and dirt, e.g. on screwdriver
bits, and clean the device if necessary (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).
Do not overload the device. Always use the electrical tool intended for your work!
Do not use the device if the switch is defective. A device which can no longer be
switched on and off is dangerous and must be repaired.
Keep the device out of the reach of children and animals. Do not let people use the
device who are not familiar with it or who have not read these instructions in order to
prevent accidents.
In the event of any damage / faults, switch the device off immediately. Do not use the
device again. Contact the customer service department.
Hold the device with a rm grip. High reaction torques can be produced for a short
time when tightening and undoing screws.
Wait until the electrical tool has come to a standstill before putting it down. The bit
attachment may get caught and lead to a loss of control over the electrical tool.
Before doing any work on the device (e. g. maintenance, change of tool etc.) and when
transporting and storing it, move the rotation direction changeover switch to the middle
position. There is a danger of injury if the On / Off switch is operated accidentally.
Protect the electrical tool from heat, e. g. also from persistent sunlight, re, water and
moisture. There is a risk of explosion.
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures or wide temperature variations.
Always move the rotation direction changeover switch to the middle position before
you make any device settings, change screwdriver bits or put the device away.
When working on walls, ceilings or oors, look out for any cables or gas and water pipes!
Residual Risks
Even if the device is used in the designated way and all safety notes in these
instructions are observed, the following residual risks may still arise:
Contact with the rotating drill chuck (crush injury).
Accidental start-up of the device (loss of control over the device).
Touching non-isolated components (electric shock).
You should therefore always be attentive and careful when handling the device!
