CLEANING – AFTER EACH USE
24
1. Remove the filter holder (7) and filter by turning the
filter holder handle to the left until the holder drops
out of the brewhead (6).
2. To remove the coffee grounds from the filter, turn the
filter holder upside down over a bin and gently shake.
Because they have been compacted in the filter, they
may need a gentle knock to ease them out.
3. Remove the filter from the holder by gripping the two
recesses on the side of the holder and lifting the lip of
the filter until it pops out. It needs to fit snugly so may
be tight to remove. If it proves stubborn, use another
filter to lever it from the filter holder.
4. When the coffee machine is not in use, remove the
filter holder from the brewhead to avoid deterioration
of the gasket (6).
5. The filters (17), (18) or (19) should be washed after
each use.
READ BEFORE CLEANING
The machine and accessories should be cleaned according
to these instructions after each use.
Do not wash any of the plastic coffee machine accessories
in the dishwasher.
Before any cleaning, make sure the machine is switched
off, unplugged and allowed to cool down.
The warming plate (1) and outside of your Espressivo
should be cleaned using a non-abrasive cloth dampened
with water containing a few drops of neutral detergent.
Then polish with a dry cloth.
Never use solvents, which could damage the plastic.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
This should be emptied and rinsed out after each use and
refilled with fresh water (bottled or filtered) just before you
make your next espresso.
