Insert a lubrication pin in the lubrication unit, as shown in Figure 20.
Use the lubrication pin to transfer the wax to the saw blades as required.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Repairs on the tool may be carried out by qualified specialist staff only. Maintenance or repair work
that is not carried out by qualified staff may increase the risk of injury. Contact customer services with
all questions regarding repairs.
For maintenance or repair work on the tool, identical spare parts need to be used. Follow the instruc-
tions in the repair sections of this manual. The use of non-authorised parts or the non-observance of
repair instructions increases the risk of electric shock and injury. Certain detergents, such as petrol,
carbon tetrachloride, ammonia, etc., may cause damage to the plastic parts.
Do not use any solvents to clean the plastic parts. Many commercially available solvents cause damage
to most types of plastic. Remove dirt, carbon dust, etc. with a clean cloth.
It is known that electric tools that are used for work on boats and sports cars with fibre optic parts,
hard fibre parts, grout or gypsum wear out more quickly and may fail early. The abrasion and chip-
pings of these materials may damage the components of electric tools, such as the bearing, brushes,
rectifiers, etc. After processing these materials, the tool therefore needs to be cleaned particularly
thoroughly.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Resin and other materials that easily stick to the sides of the saw blade often contribute to the saw
blade overheating. This may result in it corrugating or even bursting. For this reason, the saw blades
must always be kept clean. The saw blades should always be cleaned with a solvent. Never attempt to
clean the saw blades with a hard object.
Saw blades that are not used should be cleaned well, treated with a rust protection agent and stored in
their original cover.
LUBRICATING
All bearings in this tool were lubricated for the life cycle of the tool with a sufficient quantity of a
high-quality lubricant. Under normal operating circumstances, the tool requires no further lubrication.
DOUBLE INSULATION
Double insulation is a safety concept for electric tools which makes the use of a regular 3-conductor
power cable with earthing unnecessary. All open metal parts are insulated from the internal motor
components by protective insulation. Double-insulated electric tools do not need to be earthed.
EXTENSION CABLE
The use of an extension cable has a minor loss of output as a result. To keep this loss of output as small
as possible and to prevent overheating, you should use an extension cable that is suitable for the power
need of the tool.
MAINTAINING THE SAW BLADES
Exclusively use DUALSAW™ CS 490 saw blades developed specifically for this tool. Other saw blades
do not suit the installation device precisely and may result in the user losing control of the saw.
Do not use blunt or damaged saw blades. Blunt or wrongly set saw blades result in a narrow cut groove
and increased friction. This may cause the saw blade to jam, resulting in recoils.
Ensure that the saw blades are clean, sharp and correctly adjusted. When using blunt saw blades, the
saw is under greater strain and the risk of recoils increases. Keep the replacement saw blades ready so
that you can always use sharp saw blades.
Resin and rubber-like residues on the saw blade slow down the cutting speed of the saw. Use a special
solvent for resin, hot water or a grease remover to remove adhesive residues. Do NOT use petrol.
Never attempt to use the saw with only one saw blade. This results in a recoil of the saw in the directi-
on of the user, which may cause severe injuries.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
For repair or maintenance work on the tool, identical spare parts need to be used. The use of other
parts may cause hazards or result in damage to the tool.
