FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH YOUR DUALSAW CS 490
Before you use this tool, you should familiarise yourself with all operating functions and safety instructions.
(see Figure 1.)
SPINDLE LOCK: The spindle lock allows you to lock the saw blade when turning the saw blade screw.
LUBRICATION UNIT: When sawing soft materials, for instance aluminium or copper, insert a lubrication pin
in the lubrication unit in order to protect the material and the saw blades.
VACUUM PIPE: The vacuum pipe collects dust and work residues arising when sawing.
BOTTOM PROTECTIVE LID: The bottom protective lid serves your protection and your safety. On
the protective lid, NO modifications may be made UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. If the protective lid is
damaged or moves only slowly or not smoothly, the saw may NOT be used until the protective lid has been
repaired or replaced.

If individual parts are missing or damaged, this tool may only be used once the missing parts have
been replaced. If these regulations are not observed, severe injuries are possible.
WARNING!
Do not attempt to retrofit this tool or to use accessories that are not recommended for this tool.
Every retrofitting or modification constitutes abuse and may result in hazardous situations and
severe injuries.
WARNING!
When installing the individual parts of the saw, the power cable may not be connected to the
socket so that the saw cannot suddenly start and cause severe injuries.

• Check the tool carefully for damage, which may have occurred during shipping.
• Dispose of the packaging material only when you have carefully inspected the tool and confirmed its
operability.
