Preparing meat
While small amounts of uncooked meat can
be cooked using the saute function of your
Soup Chef, if you are going to use larger
quantities, always cook the meat before
chopping and adding to your Soup Chef. You
can also add pre-cooked meat to your Soup
Chef. Never add frozen meat to your Soup
Chef.
Preparing stock
If you are using powdered or cubed stock, it is
best to dissolve them in warm water to ensure
you do not have clumps of undissolved stock
when using the CHUNKY soup function.
Preparing vegetables
Wash and peel (if required) all fresh
vegetables ,then chop into bite size pieces
and place in a bowl so you can easily add
them to your Soup Chef. You can use frozen
vegetables in your Soup Chef. It helps if the
vegetables are left to defrost before adding to
your Soup Chef or they can be soaked in hot
water to aid with defrosting.

Using The Saute Function
You can use the saute function on your
Soup Chef to fry onions, vegetables
and meat in small quantities.
Remove the lid by lifting the handle
into the upright position then lift the lid
out of the soup.
IMPORTANT: The lid must be
removed to use the saute function.
PLEASE NOTE: The saute function
cuts off automatically after 5 minutes,
this is a special safety feature. If you
require longer, simply select the saute
function again, and repeat as required
Place a small amount of oil or butter
into the soup jug to fry the ingredients
in.
Place the chopped ingredients into the
soup jug.
NOTE: If you are using butter, add
a small amount of oil to prevent the
butter from burning.
Press the saute button on the top
of the soup jugs handle to start the
cooking process.
The LED on the button will change
from red to green when the saute
function starts.
Gebruik van de braadfunctieBereiding
Vlees bereiden
Kleine hoeveelheden rauw vlees kunnen worden
gegaard met de braadfunctie van de Soup Chef.
Gebruikt u grotere hoeveelheden, laat het vlees
dan altijd eerst garen voordat u het in blokjes
snijdt en het in de Soup Chef doet. U kunt in
de Soup Chef ook van tevoren gegaard vlees
gebruiken. Doe nooit bevroren vlees in de Soup
Chef.
Groente bereiden
Was en schil (waar nodig) alle verse groenten,
snijd ze in kleine stukjes en doe die in een kom,
zodat u ze gemakkelijk in de Soup Chef kunt
overdoen. U kunt diepvriesgroente gebruiken in
de Soup Chef. Laat groenten langzaam ontdooi-
en voordat u ze in de Soup Chef doet, of kies
voor snel ontdooien door ze onder te dompelen
in heet water.
Bouillon bereiden
Als u bouillonpoeder of bouillonblokjes gebruikt,
dan kunt die het beste oplossen in warm water.
Dat voorkomt klonteren als u de CHUNKY-func-
tie gebruikt.
De braadfunctie van de Soup Chef kunt u gebrui-
ken voor het bakken van kleine hoeveelheden
uien, groenten en vlees.
Verwijder het deksel door de handgreep rechtop
te zetten en vervolgens het deksel uit de soep
te tillen.
BELANGRIJK: Om de braadfunctie te gebrui-
ken, moet het deksel worden verwijderd.
LET OP: Om veiligheidsredenen wordt de
braadfunctie na 5 minuten automatisch uitge-
schakeld. Als u meer tijd nodig hebt, selecteert u
nogmaals de braadfunctie.
Doe een kleine hoeveelheid olie of boter in de
soepkan om de ingrediënten te garen.
Voeg nu de in stukjes gesneden ingrediënten
toe.
LET OP: Gebruikt u boter, voeg dan een kleine
hoeveelheid olie toe om te voorkomen dat de
boter bruin wordt.
Druk op de braadknop bovenaan
van de soepkan om het kookproces te starten.
De LED op de knop verandert van rood in groen
wanneer de braadfunctie start.
