Subject to change because of technical improvements
It is easier to move the appliance and to avoid
damage if the removable parts have been
removed.
Note the location of the removable parts, so
that you can re-position the parts in the correct
place later on.
The appliance can be opened by first removing the top
plate (1) and then the cast-iron front (2) by lifting this
upwards in order to remove it from its projections.

The glass pane (4) can be removed by loosening the
screws of the bottom glazing bead (1) (these must not
be removed), and then loosening the screws (2) of the
top glass fixings (3).
Placing the stove
Preferably place the stove on a flat floor. The appli-
ance is fitted with adjustable feet in the floor plate
so that the appliance can be adjusted and made per-
fectly level.
Take the distance from combustible material into
account. See the appendix "Distance from com-
bustible material".
Determining the duct route
Make a drawing of the route you want the concentric
exhaust duct to follow.
Check whether the duct route you want is per-
mitted from a technical point of view based on the
appendix “Calculation sheet for checking projected
route”. If this is not the case, you must decide on
an alternative route that is within the limits per-
mitted.
Decide on the type and number of the parts
required. Use the appendix “Overview of con-
centric flue gas exhaust materials for this.
Attaching a restriction plate
Depending on the route selected and the ratio
between vertical and horizontal length, a restriction
plate must be attached to the stove at the right place
and in the right position. To adjust the restriction plate
properly, you should first remove the baffle plate; see
the following figure.

Positioning the restriction plate serves to
adjust the draft in the stove to the duct route
selected.
The restriction plate has three settings.
Position 1: Restriction plate maximally open,
Position 2: Restriction plate in neutral position,
Position 3: Restriction plate minimally open
(50mm). See following figure. If you decided on a
permitted duct route, the correct position for the
restriction plate follows from the appendix “Cal-
culation sheet for checking projected route”.
