3.3 Switching off the appli-
ance and retracting the
power cord
1. Switch the appliance off via the on/off switch (Fig. 18/1)
and unplug the plug from the mains socket.
2. Keep the plug in your hand.
3. Push the cable retraction button (Fig. 18/2) to retract
the power cable. Guide the power cord with the plug in
your hand during retraction.
3.4 Storage
For storing or during interruptions of your work you can
use the parking bracket to hook in the parking hook of
the floor nozzle (Fig. 19).
If you want to store the appliance for a longer period of
time, empty the dust container and clean it, Zchapter
3.5, "Emptying and cleaning the dust container".
Store the appliance in a cool, dry place out of reach of
children.
ATTENTION:
Use only the carrying-handle to carry the appliance, not the dust container handle. If the release
button on the dust container is pressed unintentionally the dust container might disengage, caus-
ing the appliance to fall and be damaged.
NOTE:
In normal situations the bypass vent (Fig. 17/1) must be
completely closed. With the bypass vent you can quickly
reduce the suction power, e.g. to release curtains that
have accidentally been sucked in.
NOTE:
The appliance has an overheating protection circuit. It
automatically switches off the motor if it overheats, (e. g.
due to an overfilled dust container or clogged nozzles). In
this case switch off the appliance and disconnect it from
the mains. Eliminate the cause of the overheating. Wait
for about 45 minutes. When the device has cooled down
you can use it again.

whip around, become an obstacle or overthrow objects.

ATTENTION:
Never store the appliance next to heat sources (e. g.
stoves or radiators). Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight.
Heat can damage the appliance.
