INSTALLATION MANUAL
Ø
Remove the fire door and disassemble the frame when it is supplied separately (see section 9 'Appliance-specific
information').
Ø
Install the fire.
Ø
If applicable connect the outside air connection (see section 9 'Appliance-specific information').
Ø
If applicable connect the convection opening with the flexible aluminium pipe and ventilation elements.
Keeps these elements at least 30 cm away from the ceiling.
Ø
Use single-walled stainless steel flue pipes or stainless steel double-walled flexible pipes that at least meet the
requirements of standard EN 1856-2 T600.
Ø
The fire may never support the flue.
Ø
After the fire has been connected turn the adjustable legs with the Allen key supplied until the fire is in the
desired position. Make sure that the combustion air supply is not blocked when doing this.
Ø
Replace the restrictor cap for the outflow, fit the inner lining plates in reverse order and place the baffle plate
against the back wall and on the profiles (see section 9 'Appliance-specific information').
Ø
Use a torch or a thin screwdriver to check that the secondary ventilation holes in the back wall are directly facing
the recesses in the interior lining.
Ø
Replace the door and if applicable the frame around the fire (if applicable see section 9 'Appliance-specific
information').
Ø
Lay a fire-resistant floor plate for the fire if the floor is flammable. The floor plate of non-flammable
material must extend at least 300 mm away from the fire and be at least 300 mm wider than the fire.
Installing with build-in cassette (if applicable):
Ø
Place the fire with build-in cassette on a floor with a sufficient load bearing capacity.
Ø
Install the build-in cassette for a fire-safe wall.
Ø
If there is a flammable wall build a 10 cm-thick fire-safe wall.
Ø
Place the build-in cassette level at the desired height and fix it with metal anchors.
Ø
With a corner model fix the tie rod to the wall and adjust it.
Ø
Connect the flue duct to the cassette ring.
Ø
The cassette is not suitable for supporting a flue duct; this must be self-supporting.
Ø
Use non-combustible and heat-resistant material according to European fire classification A1 EN 13501-1 for the
chimney breast (including the upper face), the material in the chimney breast and the back wall against which the
appliance is fitted. Plate material or stony materials can be used for this.
Ø
If the chimney breast is made of heat-resistant plates according to European fire classification A1 EN 13501-1 such
as Promafour, Promatect, Nobranda etc., it can be fixed to the cassette.
Ø
Stony materials may not rest on the cassette; for this use a brick lintel with ceramic felt.
Ø
Leave a space of 6 mm between the cassette and the chimney breast walls.
Ø
Cover the cassette with 6 cm of heat-resistant insulation material.
Ø
Take account of the expansion of the cassette. Keep the cassette free of plasterwork.
Ø
The chimney breast may not be warmer than 90 degrees Celsius on the outside.
Ø
If there is a flammable ceiling, place a fire-resistant plate with a 10 cm thick heat-insulating layer on top 30 cm
below the ceiling in the chimney breast.
Ø
Place the fire before the build-in cassette.
Ø
Turn in the adjustable legs and check whether they are properly adjustable. There may still be some blasting grit
present.
Ø
Carefully slide the fire into the hole. Make sure that no damage is caused.
Ø
Turn the adjustable legs with the associated Allen key so the fire comes into the desired position. Make sure that
sufficient space remains under the fire for the supply of combustion air.
Ø
Make a good, airtight seal between the fire and the flue.
Ø
Leave a space of at least 10 mm between the fire and cassette.
Ø
If applicable fit the restrictor cap for the outflow, place the vermiculite plates in reverse order and place the baffle
plate against the back wall and on the profiles.
Ø
Fit the frame if it is supplied separately.
Ø
Lay a fire-resistant floor plate for the fire if the floor is flammable. The floor plate in non-flammable material must
extend at least 300 mm away from the fire and be at least 300 mm wider than the fire.
