DISPLAYED MESSAGE POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY

Adjust mill
ESC to cancel
The grinding is too ne and the coee is deliv-
ered too slowly or not at all.
Repeat coee delivery and turn the grinding
adjustment dial (A3) (g. 7) one click clock-
wise towards “7” while the coee mill is in
operation. If after making at least 2 coees
delivery is still too slow, repeat the correction
procedure, turning the grinding adjustment
dial another click until delivery is correct (see
section “5.1 Adjusting the coee mill”). If the
problem persists, make sure the water tank
(A18) is fully inserted.
If the water softener lter (C4) is present, an
air bubble may have been released inside the
circuit, obstructing delivery.
Insert the hot water spout (C6) in the appli-
ance and deliver a little water until the ow
becomes regular.
Less coee
ESC to cancel
Too much coee has been used.
Select a lighter taste by pressing (B3)
or reduce the quantity of pre-ground coee.
Insert water spout The hot water spout (C6) is not inserted or is
inserted incorrectly.
Fully insert the hot water spout (g. 4).
Insert milk container The milk container (D) is not inserted correctly. Insert the milk container as far as it will go (g.
16).
Insert infuser assembly The infuser has not been replaced after clean-
ing (A9).
Insert the infuser as described in section “14.1
Cleaning the infuser”.
Water circuit empty
Fill water circuit
Hot water
Conrm?
The water circuit is empty.
Press (B3) to deliver water from the hot
water spout (C6) until it ows out normally. If
the problem persists, make sure the water tank
(A18) is fully inserted.
Press OK to CLEAN The milk container (D) has been inserted with
the froth adjustment dial (D1) in the “CLEAN”
position.
To proceed with the CLEAN function, press
(B3) or turn the froth adjustment dial
to another position.
Set dial to CLEAN
ESC to cancel
Milk has been delivered recently and the tubes
inside the milk container must be cleaned (D).
Turn the froth adjustment dial (D1) to CLEAN
(g. 19).
Turn froth adjustment dial The milk container (D) has been inserted with
the froth adjustment dial (D1) in the “CLEAN”
position.
Turn the froth adjustment dial to one of the
milk froth positions.
Descale
ESC to cancel
OK to descale
(≃45 minutes)
The machine must be descaled. The descaling procedure described in section
“15. Descale” needs to be performed.
Replace lter
ESC to cancel
OK to replace
The water softener lter (C4) is exhausted. Replace the lter or remove it as described in
section “17. Water softener lter”.
