5.
Insert the lter in the water tank and immerse it completely
for about ten seconds, sloping it and pressing it lightly to ena-
ble the air bubbles to escape (g. 38);
6. Insert the lter in the lter housing (A19) and press as far
as it will go (g. 39);
7. Close the tank with the lid (A17 - g. 40), then replace the
tank in the machine;

When you install the lter, you must notify the appliance of its
presence.
8. Press (B2) to enter the “Settings” menu;
9. Press the selection arrows (B4 and B5) until “Maintenance”
is displayed between the two dotted lines: press
(B3);
10. Press the selection arrows until “Install lter” is displayed,
then press ;
11. “Conrm?”: press (B5) or to conrm;
12. “Hot water, Conrm?”: position a container under the hot
water spout (C6) (min. capacity: 500ml), then press
or to start delivery;
13. The appliance begins hot water delivery and the message
“Please wait” is displayed;
14. After the ow of hot water stops, the appliance automati-
cally resets to “Ready for coee” status.
The lter is now active and you can use the coee machine.
2.1 Replacing the lter
Replace the lter (C4) when “Replace lter, ESC to cancel, OK to
replace” appears on the display (B1). To replace immediately,
press (B3) and follow the instructions from point 8. To
replace the lter later, press (B2): the display shows the
symbol to remind you that the lter needs replacing.
To replace, proceed as follows:
1. Extract the tank (A18) and exhausted lter;
2. Take the new lter out of its packet and proceed as illus-
trated in points 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 in the previous section;
3. Press to enter the “Settings” menu;
4. Press the selection arrows (B4 and B5) until “Maintenance”
is displayed between the two dotted lines: press ;
5. Press the selection arrows until “Replace lter” is displayed,
then press ;
6. “Conrm?”: press (B5) or to conrm;
7. “Hot water, Conrm?”: position a container under the hot
water spout (C6) (min. capacity: 500ml), then press
or (g. 5) to start delivery;
8. The appliance begins hot water delivery and the message
“Please wait” is displayed;
9. After the ow of hot water stops, the appliance automati-
cally resets to “Ready for coee” status.
The new lter is now active and you can use the coee machine.
Please note!
After two months (see date indicator) or when the appliance has
not been used for 3 weeks, you should replace the lter even if
the message has not yet been displayed.
2.2 Removing the lter
If you want to use the appliance without the lter (C4), you
must remove it and notify the appliance of its removal. Proceed
as follows:
1. Extract the tank (A18) and exhausted lter;
2. Press (B2) to enter the “Settings” menu;
3. Press the selection arrows (B4 and B5) until “Maintenance”
is displayed between the two dotted lines: press
(B3);
4. Press the selection arrows (B4) or (B5) until
“Remove lter” is displayed: press ;
5. “Conrm?”: press or to conrm removal. The
appliance goes back to the “Maintenance” menu;
Then press twice to exit the menu.
Please note!
After two months (see date indicator) or when the appliance has
not been used for 3 weeks, you should remove/replace the lter
even if the message has not yet been displayed.
