The oilburner operates as follows: The burnermotor controls both airfan and fuel
pump. By means of an electric valve, the fuel is pumped into the burner. Here the
fuel gets vaporized and set to fire by two sparks. To achieve a high efficiency level,
the flames and hot smoke gasses are blown through the tube coil to an optimum.
This causes a minimum of lost heat through the funnel. Ignition is continuously, so
that hardly any smoke occurs at starting the burner.
The fuelpump is protected against running dry by a fuel level meter (fig. 3A;198). If
the machine runs out of fuel, the switch turns of the burnermotor and so the
fuelpump stops functioning. The cleaner now only gives cold water until fuel is
added again.
Remember that the return mains is not cooled when the high pressure cleaner has
run out of fuel, because the fan of the burnermotor does not function. Do not let
the machine run too long when no water is needed.
7.0 POSSIBILITIES OF FAILURE
1 Machine does not function:
* blown fuse - renew fuse.
* thermal failure - turn on the main switch (fig. 1;217). (fails
repeatedly: look under point 2).
2 Thermal relay (main switch) keeps failing:
* blown fuse - renew.
* pressure too high - lower pressure, clean nozzle.
* too low tension current - remove too thin or too long extension
cords.
* defective motor - replace or repair.
3 The burner does not work:
* thermostat not on - switch on (fig. 1;218).
* fueltank empty - refill (fig. 1;191).
* pollution in the fuel system - clean tank, pipes and filters
* sprayer clogged - clean sprayer and strainer.
* water mains switch does - set pressure regulator (fig. 1;173)
not work; not enough water higher. See point 4.
* microswitch does not turn - see point 4.
on owing to too low pressure
* magnetic valve of the fuel - check electric connections.
supply does not open
* no ignition - check ignition transformer, ignition
cords and electrodes. Clean if necessary,
and replace defective parts.
4 Pressure is too low:
* wrong nozzle in spouting gun - mount right nozzle.
