Croozer Kid Inspections and Maintenance
Inspecting the hitch arm, hitch connector,
Stroller Kit components and Buggy wheel
Inspect the hitch arm, hitch connector, Stroller Kit com-
ponents, Buggy wheel and their respective attachment
brackets regularly for damage. If a part is cracked, dented,
bent or damaged in any way, the Croozer Kid may not be
used with the respective part until it has been replaced or
repaired. Have all damaged parts repaired or replaced im-
mediately by a professional bicycle mechanic. Check that
the hitch nut is securely fastened.
Inspect the fabric body
Check the fabric body and the two-in-one cover regularly
for damage. Small tears or holes can be repaired. In the
case of irreparable damage, the fabric body must be
replaced.
Your child may be able to reach the wheel spokes
through tears or holes in the fabric, which could result in
serious injuries. If you notice tears or holes in the fabric,
do not use the Croozer Kid until all damage has been
properly repaired or the body has been replaced.
Inspecting and servicing the wheels
The wheels should be checked for alignment (radial and
lateral true) on a regular basis and retrued as necessary.
An annual wheel inspection by a professional bicycle me-
chanic is usually sufcient.
Checking tyre pressure and treads
Check the tyre pressure before each use. The actual tyre
pressure should never be higher or lower than the maxi-
mum and minimum ination pressures (1) marked on the
tyre sidewall. Riding with under-inated tyres can damage
the tyres and rims. Over-ination can cause the inner tube
or tyre to explode. The inner tubes have Schrader valves,
also known as car valves. You will need a pump with the
appropriate nozzle. Never use compressed air, e.g. from a
gas/petrol station, to ll your tyres. The quick ow and high
pressure can overinate the tyres, causing the tube and/or
tyre to burst.
Inspect the tyres periodically for adequate tread depth and
any signs of damage or excessive wear. Worn-out or dam-
aged tyres can affect the handling and even burst, which
could result in accidents with serious injury or death.
