Cycling
When you cycle on an e-bike, it is as if you always have a
helping hand. You pedal yourself, but with much less effort.
The pedal assist works from the moment you start pedalling.
It doesn't matter how much force you apply to the pedals.
The pedal assist is automatically deactivated at speeds
above 25 km/h.
Turn on the bicycle by pressing the On/off button for one
second (4I). Turn off the bicycle by briefly pressing the
button twice. The bicycle will turn off automatically after 10
minutes. If you turn on the bicycle while cycling, the pedal
assist will engage after a short delay. This allows you to
continue cycling safely.
You can adjust the assist level with the + and - buttons (4).
The battery will last longer if you choose a lower assist level
and use a smooth gear ratio. The range is also affected by
the wind, the temperature, the quantity of luggage, how
hard your tyres are pumped up, the quality of the road
surface and the hills or mountains on your route.
The assist level will automatically decrease if the charge level
drops below 10%. This extends the range slightly.
Tips
–
Choose a gear that allows you to cycle comfortably.
An excessively high gear will reduce the range. Try
to stay in the same gear as you would use without
pedal assist, or even one lower, particularly when
setting off.
–
Make sure your bicycle is adjusted to your physical
build. This reduces the energy required for cycling.
Your dealer can help with this. Adjust the saddle
height so your knee is slightly bent when the pedal
is in the lowest position (7).
–
Don't pedal while braking.
–
You can reduce the standard maximum assist speed
of 25 km/h. Ask your dealer to do this for you.
