Cleaning and care
ATTENTION!
Empty the dust bin once it has been lled up to the MAX mark and clean the cyclone
insert, the motor lters and the HEPA exhaust air lter regularly to prevent the motor
from overheating.
Before you clean the device, always pull the mains plug out of the socket.
Keep the device, the mains cord and the mains plug away from water or other liquids
to prevent electrical shocks. When cleaning, make sure that no liquids penetrate the
device. Only the lters may be cleaned with water. However, those parts must be
completely dry when inserted in the device.
The lters are not suitable for the washing machine, dishwasher or dryer! Only air dry
the lters and do not in any case use a hair dryer.
Do not use any abrasive or scouring cleaners or cleaning pads to clean the product.
They could damage the surface.
The lters may discolour over time. This is normal and does not affect the func-
tionality.
Emptying the dust bin
1. Push the release button of the dust bin (A) and take it out
of the device by the handle (9).
2. Hold the dust bin over an open rubbish bin. You should
hold it as close to the rubbish bin as possible so that the
dust from the dust bin only falls into the rubbish bin and is
not disbursed into the surroundings.
3. Push the button to open the dust bin (B). The bottom of
the dust bin will open and the dirt will fall out.
4. Fold the bottom of the dust bin closed again. The fastener
must audibly lock into place.
5. Put the dust bin back in the device: Take it by the handle and put the bottom of the
bin in the device rst. Then push the handle against the device housing until the dust
bin audibly locks into the locking mechanism. Hold the device by the dust bin handle
and lift it to determine whether the dust bin is properly seated.
Cleaning the cyclone insert and HEPA lter
The cyclone insert is located in the dust bin. The HEPA lter is located on the cyclone
insert.
1. Take the dust bin out of the device and empty it (see section “Emptying the dust bin”).
