There is an auxiliary air ow vent on the handle.
Open this (by sliding the cover) in order to reduce the
suction power when vacuuming upholstery, carpets
or lightweight, easily movable objects. The auxiliary
air ow vent should normally be kept closed so that
the suction power is not unnecessarily reduced.
6. After vacuum cleaning, press the
On/Off switch again to turn off the device.
7. Remove the mains plug from the mains socket, hold on to the mains cable and press
the cable retraction button
with your foot. By holding the mains cable, you prevent
it from lashing against body parts such as your legs.
8. Do not allow the dust container to get too full. Empty it after each use if possible and
clean the cyclone insert and the lters regularly in order to prevent the motor from
overheating (see chapter “Cleaning the Device and Accessories”). For optimum per-
formance, empty the dust container after each use.
Cleaning the Device and Accessories
ATTENTION!
Empty it after each use if possible and clean the cyclone insert and lters regularly
in order to prevent the motor from overheating.
Prior to cleaning the device, always pull the mains plug out of the socket.
Keep the device, the mains cable and the mains plug away from water or other liq-
uids in order to avoid the risk of electrical shock. When cleaning the vacuum cleaner
make sure that no liquid gets into the device. Only the lters may be cleaned with
water. However, when tted back into the device they must be completely dry.
The lters are not suitable for the washing machine, dishwasher or dryer! Only air
dry the lters and do not under any circumstances use a hair dryer.
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads for cleaning. They
could damage the surface.
Over time the lters may become discoloured. This is normal and does not
affect the functionality.
Emptying the Dust Container
1. Press the release button
on the dust container handle
and remove the dust contain-
er.
2. Hold the dust container over
an open dustbin. The dis-
tance between the dust con-
tainer and the dustbin should
be as short as possible to
ensure that the dust from the
dust container falls into the
dustbin only and does not
spill into the environment.
