Do not use it for heating other liquids or foods.
The tea/coffee maker is designed for preparing and keeping tea and
coffee warm.
Only use the appliance in a dry, indoor area. It is intended for do-
mestic use and similar areas of use such as e.g.
- In staff kitchens in shops, ofces and other commercial areas;
- By guests in hotels, motels and other accommodation facilities.
It is not intended for use in farm accommodation or Bed & Breakfast
establishments.
Instructions
Location
Put the base on a at surface.
Preparation
Water kettle: Before using for the rst time, boil
fresh water at least three times in the
appliance. Use only water without any
additives or ingredients.
Tea/coffee maker: Clean the tea/coffee maker and lter as
usual in soapy water. Rinse with clear
water afterwards. Dry the tea/coffee
maker and lter with a cloth.
Mains Lead
Connect the mains cable to the jack in the base before con-
necting the cable to a wall socket.
Electrical connection
Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is
the same as that of the machine. Details are to be found on the
label on the base.
Connected Wattage
The total power consumption of this device can be up to 2200 W.
With this connected load a separate supply line protected by a
16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.
CAUTION: Overload!
If you use extension leads, these should have a cable
cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
Do not use any multiple sockets, as this device is too
powerful.
Operating the water kettle
Switching on/off
Switch on: Set the toggle switch on the appliance to the
I” position. The indicator lamp at the bottom of
the handle will light up.
Switch off: Set the toggle switch to the “0” position. The
indicator lamp on the handle will turn off.
Boiling hot water
NOTE:
Always use fresh, cold water.
1. Press the button on the handle to open the water kettle.
2. Then ll in the water. Please only ll up to the maximum
(MAX) mark. You can read the lling level on the water
level indicator of the kettle.
3. Close the lid until it clicks into place.
4. Put the water kettle onto the connecting joint of the base.
5. Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety
socket.
6. Set the switch on the water kettle to the “I” position. The
indicator lamp on the handle will light up.
Pausing/ terminating operation
There are two options to interrupt the boiling process or to
terminate it:
The appliance will shut off automatically after the boiling
process. The indicator lamp will go out.
Set the switch to the “0” position to pause or terminate the
boiling process.
WARNING: Danger of scalding!
When pouring the water out, keep the lid closed.
During operation the housing becomes hot. Do not touch
it and allow the device to cool down before storing it
away.
